Whirlwind trip around Chile!

Amazing holiday by Journey Latin America. We covered Santiago, Atacama Desert, Chilean Lake District and Torres del Paine in 2 weeks. Action packed but so interesting and brilliantly run. Added on a 3 night trip to Easter Island afterwards and that too was amazing. All hotels had amazing views and were of a high standard.

Thoughtful service and great adventures

Our third time with Journey Latin America and as ever the personal service, outstanding quality of guides and good organisation made for a wonderful, memorable trip. We stayed in some amazing places, ate at some classic restaurants but most of all saw some places that will stay with us for ever.

Costa Rica Wildlife: Discovery by Julia, 4 Mar 2017

Exceeded expectations

Loved Costa Rica and adored Nicaragua. They organised the perfect tour for us with wonderful variety. We saw great scenery, wildlife a nod met some lovely people. Standard of accommodation was good, some truly luxurious. All transfers worked smoothly.

Chilean highlights

I did JLA's Penguin tour - 12 days travelling the length of this vast country. great sights, excellent accommodation and good food. Not an active trip and definitely suited to older customers. great guides - but the distances can make it all seem a bit compressed - leaves you wanting more.

Another memorable visit to Central and South America

A great visit to two more countries to which we'd not been before. Guatemala for the Mayan site of Tikal and both Guatemala and Colombia for amazing Spanish colonial architecture, local food and friendly local people.

Wonderful South American odyssey

Two lifetime ambitions, to visit the Atacama desert, and to drive along the Carretera Austral, were combined into a tour around Brazil, Argentina and Chile, inclding Rio de Janeiro, Salta, San Pedro de Atacama, Santiago, 600km of the Austral road, down to Caleta Tortel, then Bariloche, Calafate, Ushuaia, and Buenos Aires, largely suggestions by Jamie Swan of Journey Latin America. All the arrangements, places to stay, excursions etc worked perfectly, and were excellent choices, clearly largely made from personal knowledge. I would absolutely use JLA again for any trip to Latin America.

Lima to Buenos Aires via Easter Island

Starting in Lima, Peru, we travelled to Easter Island, through Chile from Santiago to Torres del Paine and then from Tierra del Fuego to Buenos Aires and many places inbetween. The sights were incredible, the people welcoming and the experiences beyond memorable.

Rating for tour operator:

JLA are the ultimate tour operator to Latin America. This was our second trip to South America with them and I thought they would struggle to match the quality of our first journey. However, they surpassed their own standards and everything went perfectly. Tremendous organisation, a great tour leader and terrific value for money.

Everything exceeded expectations!

Costa Rica is a wonderful destination. The wildlife was hugely varied and accessible. The Costa Ricans are friendly, the scenery is incredible and there is no litter and, apparently, no junk food.

Journey Latin America know Central and South America well and work to very high standards. This is not the first time we have travelled with them and we were just as delighted as last time.
