A truly unforgettable trip to Peru, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

I have just returned from a 17-night trip to South America. We started in Cusco, Peru to visit Machu Picchu. We then went on to Ecuador where we spent two nights in the Mindo cloud forest which was an amazing experience, followed by 2 nights in Quito. It gave us a real flavour of the different aspects of Ecuador and a desire to see more of this small but diverse country. It gave us a real flavour of the different aspects of Ecuador and a desire to see more of this small but diverse country. The highlight of the trip had to be the 7-day cruise around the Galapagos Islands, which was absolutely outstanding. This is something I had always wanted to do and I was not disappointed. It was a truly amazing experience and one which I will never forget. It really was a dream come true!

The whole experience from the first telephone conversation with Lina Fuller at Journey Latin America to the holiday itself was absolutely faultless. Lina was extremely helpful, especially when, due to unforeseen circumstances, it was looking like we may have to change our dates or cancel all together. Thankfully it didn't come to this, but Lina looked at every possible option for us just in case. Local transportation and pick ups with the local reps that JLA arranged for the tailor-made part of our trip were seamless and the Galapagos cruise was outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday and Journey Latin America.

fantastic adventure in the Guyanas

This is a journey with highlights on every day, travelling through 5 contrasting countries. The accommodation is good but you must be prepared to sleep in a hammock for one night and travel for 4 hours in a motorised canoe. There were many wonderful birds and animals spotted and as well as all this nature and culture we toured the Ariane rocket launching centre and were taught about the different kinds of rocket fuels.

Amazing

Fabulous trip to Peru. We travelled tailor-made with JLA and it was perfect in every way. Peru is such a geographically diverse country, so we were able to experience desert, mountains and jungle (which was the highlight for us).

Thoroughly professional and enjoyable from start to finish.

My sister and I travelled to Rio de Janeiro, then on to Iguazu, before finishing our holiday in Buenos Aires. Each destination fully lived up to our expectations, with awe-inspiring sights, great weather, excellent food and friendly locals. It was a shame to have to leave.

Journey Latin America organised our tour and did an excellent job: they put together a suitable itinerary and arranged our flights and transfers (which took the stress out of the experience for us). We would recommend Journey Latin America to others looking to explore the region.

The tip was well organised and gave a taste of the highlights of a number of countries in Central America which is all you could hope to do in 3 weeks. There are too many highlights to mention but an incredible variety of scenery and culture. The tip was a mixture of wildlife, nature walks, incredible scenery, culture, places of interest (eg Panama Canal), history, markets, churches, cathedrals and time to browse around places.

Rating for tour operator:

The tip was well organised and the tour leader had a good general knowledge of all the places we visited. The local guides were all excellent and all had an in-depth knowledge of their subjects and areas. It was an incredible trip and I would recommend it to others.

A memorable honeymoon!

We decided to visit Chile, including Easter Island, Argentina and Brazil for our honeymoon. The holiday was well-planned and we were able to include tours to many of the main tourist attractions. Our holiday was based on many recommendations from Journey Latin America and these were all fantastic. Our tour guides on the ground were all very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We wouldn't change anything about the holiday - it was fantastic! ...
