Amazing South America Experience

We flew to Santiago, and the following day travelled on to Explora San Pedro de Atacama. Following our stay here, we moved on to Tierra Hotel Chiloe, then Explora Parque National Patagonia, before travelling on to Explora Torres del Paine. After this we travelled onto Explora El Chalten , before spending two days in Buenos Aires prior to flying home.

Sophie Barber at Journey Latin America designed and planned this trip for us. We have dealt with Sophie for many years, and she has arranged several trips for my wife and I. Sophie is by far and away the most professional and knowledgeable travel expert we have dealt with. Her knowledge of Latin America is superb, and whenever you ask her anything about the Continent, she provides the answer immediately. We would not use any other Company for trips to Latin America.

Luxury in the Galapagos

Fabulous days Quito prior to going to the Galapagos. Probably could have had one or two more days here. The Elite was superb as our expedition boat. Crew wonderful, food amazing, generous with snacks and juices hot towels and hot chocolate post snorkels. Naturalist guide excellent - knowledgable and passionate. I have Parkinson’s disease and whilst I did pretty much everything, I did need quite a lot of help.

Costa Rica wildlife experience

5 locations in 13 nights. The Costa Rican people were so friendly and are clearly proud of their country and are fully aware of the importance of tourism to their economy. If you love flora and fauna, I can think of no better place to take a holiday

Simply Superb South America

A once in a lifetime adventure in South America, taking in Buenos Aires, Cuzco and the Inca Trail, the Peruvian Amazon, rail transfer to Lake Titicaca followed by exploration of islands and culture. Then, through Bolivia from La Paz to Uyuni and the salt flats, the Atacama and finally Santiago.

From the moment that we first made contact, the Journey Latin America team went the extra mile to create our extra special South American adventure. Working with a network of exceptional regional and local tour specialists, and leveraging fantastic personal knowledge of the continent, its tourist gems, varied accomodation offerings, and transport options, JLA worked with us to create a once in a lifetime holiday that matched our budget. From the moment that we stepped foot on the continent, everything simply worked like clockwork - the administration was slick, guides were highly professional, and the experience was everything that we had hoped for. We cannot recommend the services of JLA and their partners highly enough, for personalised travel itineraries in South America.

Gaucho Vintage Tour

The Gaucho tour from Santiago in Chile to Buenos Aires in Argentina packed in many new and amazing experiences. We flew over the Andes, explored Salta, a colonial town where in some respects time has stood still. We experienced the aura of Iguazu falls as we walked closely to its pounding waterfalls and in Buenos Aires we felt the magic of the tango . A bonus was visiting Eva Peron’s mausoleum on her birthday.. The wineries were fascinating ...
