We visited the southern half of Peru with Journey Latin America in April 2017. We felt so safe and free to enjoy everything this marvellous country offers: scenery, wildlife, cuisine, art, culture, religion, history...and, of course, Machu Picchu. However, I'm pleased to say that we quickly learnt that Peru is much more than Machu Picchu. The knowledgeable, passionate tour leader accompanying us throughout and the enthusiastic local guides together helped us to make the most of every opportunity to enjoy what each region offers, without overloading us with information. They are great ambassadors for their country.

Journey Latin America's organisation is faultless from start to finish, from knowledgeable staff in the London office to excellent tour leaders and guides when in country. Accommodation, transport and travel arrangments were trouble-free and comfortable. This is the second time we have travelled with JLA and it won't be the last. I strongly recommend them to all my friends.

A 12-day group tour of the Western end of Cuba, followed by a 3-night extension on a beautiful coral reef island

This was our second trip with Journey Latin America, and again we were very pleased with everything: they are experts in this part of the world, everything was handled efficiently and professionally, the tour was well-planned and our tour guide could not have been better. We will definitely travel with them again.

Efficient and responsive

I went on an organised tour but added on days and locations at both ends. I had a wonderful time and all the bits worked well.

As said, everything was well planned and worked well. When a problem arose it was dealt with rapidly and efficiently.

A carefully and imaginatively planned itinerary in Chile, Argentina and Colombia, where our wishes were taken full account of and knowledgeable and creative thought was added to give us a very special experience.

Brilliant guided tour, of Chile north to south with a wonderful guide. Well organised, tremendous scenery ,everywhere we visited was different.The local people were wonderful. Good food,wine and accommodation.

JLA.....just brilliant organisation and excellent value for money. All staff extremely knowledgeable and very good communication, sorting queries out and getting back to the customer. Everything ran like clockwork. This is my third holiday with them.

We travelled to Havana, Vinales, Trinidad and Varadero

Journey Latin America helped us plan our holiday from scratch and made all the arrangements very easy.

Quite a fast paced tour visiting several destinations in Chlie and Argentina. We saw stunning scenery including volcanoes and glaciers. We enjoyed some amazing treks led by very professional and brilliant guides.

Everything went to plan and it was a perfect tour.

We opted for the Weaverbird holiday to Colombia with JLA, having used this company twice before. All the booking arrangements went smoothly and we set off confident that JLA would ensure our trip was enjoyable and memorable. We were not disappointed. We have also used Explore on a number of occasions. If we are being nitpicky, we would critiicse the trip on two fronts. Firstly, there were three long road trips which were rather long and tedious, and not always in very comfortable transport. Secondly, the tour guide had very limited local knowledge, although it would be unfair to blame her, she being otherwise excellent. Rather it would be due to JLA's policy of giving their tour guides the whole continent, whereas if they allocated a specific tour guide for each country the customer would be much more enlightened. Our experience with Explore would bear this out So, on balance a great trip and extremely well organised. Good value, too. So we would therefore dock a star for the niggles, but it was well worth a four star rating.

An excellent company providing holidays to all parts of Central and South America. The tour leader was friendly and very helpful, and amazingly tolerant of our diverse group. We would definitely use them again as they are probably th foremost authority on Latin America.
