We went to Rio de Janeiro, the Iguazu falls, The Amazon, Salvador and Praia do Forte.

We couldn't have been happier with Journey Latin America. From the moment I contacted them, they were very quick and very accomodating with all our desires. Very good advice also. The organisation was perfect, we had no worries at all apart from enjoying our holiday. It was in one word, fantastic from beginning to end and this is absolutely attributed to the perfect organisation of Journey Latin America.

Our two week tour of Southern Peru with JLA was a wonderful highlight-packed experience. While top spot went to Mach Picchu, which more than lived up to expectations, the tour provided a series of other great visits, from the colonial splendour of Cusco and Arequipa, to the wonderful scenery of the Colca Canyon and the Sacred Valley, through to the other-worldly feel of the Uros Islands the tranquillity of Lake Titicaca. Our tour guide Lucho was a wonderful ambassador for Peru, leading us through the tour with great charm and personality, as well as having a wealth of knowledge of everywhere we enter. The organisation of the tour was excellent and took all the hassle out of our hands. A great trip.

JLA know about Latin America and their specialist knowledge and enthusiasm helped us plan a truly great holiday. JLA's customer service and personal attention was second to none.

This was a wonderful experience with Journeys Latin America. Hotels were excellent and where food was included the standard was very high. Everything ran smoothly, no waiting for luggage or transport. We had a tremendous guide and it was the most amazing journey. Highlights were the Andean Explorer train journey, Lake Titicaca and of course Machu Picchu.

It is the first time we have travelled with this company and we would have no hesitation in booking again to this part of the world. Documentation was received on time, concise details of the trip and detailed itinerary. They also provided two very good guides to our destination. I would thoroughly recommend them for anyone wishing to travel to SOuth America.

JLA organised the itinerary to meet our needs, most arrangements worked very well. The few hiccups that occurred were due to the agencies on the ground, not JLA.

excellent combination of traditional and modern, nature and history. car was ok for the amount of driving that we did, mostly on decent tarmacked roads but I would not like to have gone off road down their equivalent to B roads!!! I would also like to thank JLA for offering self drive in Mexico when a number of their competitors told us that it was not popular. Yet we found it to be excellent and a much more affordable option than being chauffeured round in a country that does not warrant such a close guard unlike African and other Central/South American destinations.

excellent communication and realistic price. very positive about self drive in Yucatan after I expressed initial apprehension. A guide to prices in restaurants and petrol preceding trip would have been beneficial. Also, road maps and/or city maps were needed - good job I had wifi and an iPad to take photos of the maps on my phone. Would not have been a problem had I have had a Rough Guide but I only booked and paid for the holiday 2 days before I flew from London to Cancun so I could not get hold of one in that short time. A road map of the entire peninsula was provided but clear road instructions on Mexican road with poor signage would have made the travelling much easier as we made several (rectifiable) mistakes. Just took us a lot of extra time and fuel to rectify these navigational mistakes!

Helpful and efficient

We stayed in 5 different places to experience the diversity of what Costa Rica has to offer. All the hotels were excellent but it was wonderful to have all the logistcis taken care of without us needing to worry about how we got form one place to another. Costa Rica is a wonderful country that has tried hard to retain its spectacular ecology but at the same time it has a good tourist infrastructure.

They made it very easy to put together a multi centre trip and then make it happen smoothly

Following 2 days in Mexico City which included a visit to the Teotihuacan pyramids we flew to Oaxaca, a colonial town with an interesting market and where they specialise in making chocolate. We saw the ruins of Monte Alban and then travelled by air to Tuxtla Gutierrez. We had a boat trip up the spectacular Sumidero Canyon, after which we were driven to San Crisobal de las Casas. This was a very pretty town, again, in the colonial style.We visited 2 Indian villages the following morning and then had a long drive to Palenque. We stayed in a great resort village near the archaeological site and saw some wildlife (agutis, squrrels, bats, howler monkeys) up close.After Palenque we went to Campeche and stayed in a convered Spanish barracks. We then moved on to Merida via Uxmal and Kabah. We were able to see pink flamingos at Celestun and then visited the popular Chichen Itza before finishing our holiday with a couple of days on the beach in Tulum.

Very efficient and organsied things just as we wanted them. Everything worked like clock-work!

3 week trip private tour covering Peru (Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley and Puno/Lake Titicaca including Vistadome train and Andean Explorer train), Bolivia (La Paz and Isla del Sol), bus trip from La Paz to Chile (Arica) with onward travel to Santiago de Chile and Easter Island). Excellent trip, well organised, with professional guides who were passionate and knowledgeable about their countries, history and culture. Would definitely recommend journey Latin America UK and would use again for any future South American travel.

My third time in Cuba - a beautiful place. We had a hire car and drove around the eastern end on the island. The hotels were good and the roads were bad ! Such an experience to see a country with an amazing political history. There are problems of course, but very few places have that feeling of magic ---

The second time I have used JLA. Both times were brilliantly organised. My ideas were taken into account and I felt safe and secure with the advice and help. I would highly praise their UK side AND the links with the Cuban side.
