Saw a lot in a relatively short time
Small group tour to Brazil, Argentina and Chile

Rating for tour operator:We had travelled with Journey Latin America before, and we were again very impressed with the Spanish speaking Brit who was our tour leader.
Amazing Amazon, Peru & Bolivia
Our three and a half week tour was all we anticipated and more. Our local native guides knowledge and understanding was more than could be expected and we had an amazing time

Rating for tour operator:Journey Latin America again provided a fantastic service and itinerary
Much more favourable and enjoyable than expected.
If you want a well organised holiday in South America this one by JLA is to be recommended. Nothing was too much trouble for the 'guardians' who provide all the leadership need to make a success of it. All the popular tourist areas in Chili and Argentina in one trip One with memories that will last for a long time. Not even a minor hitch.

Rating for tour operator:JLA must be one of the top tour groups for Latin America. The schedules were planned and timed perfectly. Handovers sleek and without troubles. Very professional operators.
Do not go on Coq of the Rock tour
Meals not provided as quoted. Tour leader very poor. Some hotel rooms especially for solo travellers appalling. Visit to space centre good. Paramaribo very nice town, others were poor.

Rating for tour operator:Pre holiday, some info incorrect re visas. Additional nights pre tour, JLA quoted more than hotel's rack rate, and more than twice the rate available.online. JLA private transfer quote twice that available online. Tour wallet, bigger than A4, and a waste. Still advertising incorrect tour details.
We were disappointed you were unhappy with certain aspects of the trip to Guyana, Suriname and French Guyana. Whilst the nature of the ‘Trailblazing the Guyana’s’ tour is certainly different to our regular tours, we try to be as clear as possible in our documentation and discussions that there are practical difficulties involved with travel in such undeveloped areas given the limited tourist infrastructure. We are sorry you did not enjoy some elements and regret there were two early morning departures which meant breakfast at the hotel was not possible on those days. We will refund these and seek to minimise the impact of any such late changes to the schedule going forward.
I am sorry you found our information confusing and were unimpressed the pre-departure bundle. Where travel to these countries is perhaps more expensive than one would expect, we are usually very competitive on price. On the basis of your feedback we are undertaking a thorough review and we will be in touch directly with you.
The most wonderful time
From beginning to end this was a truly magical trip. Each country had its 'wow' moments, from Machu Picchu in Peru to the wonderful Salar and lagoons of Bolivia to the Atacama and Moon Valley in Chile. Thank you for a trip of a lifetime - and I hope there will be more with JLA

Rating for tour operator:Very professional and efficient
Tavel arrangements all ran to plan and this was a great relief in a country where we had no local language and very few people spoke anything other than Portuguese.
We had a planned tour of highlights of Brazil. The trip gave us an excellent feeling for the diversity in this HUGE country.

Rating for tour operator:There was a large amount of traveling but all the arrangements went smoothly. Any questions we had were promptly handled by support from the UK office.
An Unforgettable Trip
Our tour was organised by Journey Latin America to our requirements and lasted just over 3 weeks taking in Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina. We visited Rio de Janiero, Iguassu Falls, Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Salta, the Andes and Patagonia. Our best moments were our self-drive road trip through Purmamarca, Cafayate and Molinos and wildlife watching in Patagonia but we also loved our time in Rio.

Rating for tour operator:The varied itinerary was well thought through and well paced. The pre-travel information, guide books and itinerary were all very clear. Our operator was well informed, flexible responsive and helpful. The general standard of hotels was very good and transfers punctual, smooth and well managed. When we did hit a problem (a lightning 1 day strike by Argentinian Airlines), our operator stepped in an organised new flights and overnight accommodation, so support from home was excellent. Representatives in all of the places that we stayed were well informed, helpful and pleasant. We have already recommended JLA to friends.
Cock up o the rock
Bad value for money and uninspiring tour leader. Obviously some decent highlights but only 5 or 6 out of 10 overall

Rating for tour operator:First time with JLA and most expensive trip ever for me. Sorely overpriced for what we got and other operators give much better overall experince
We were disappointed you did not thoroughly enjoy your tour to Guyana, Suriname and French Guyana. Whilst admittedly the nature of the 'Trailblazing the Guyana's' tour is different to our other group trips, we hope and expect that the allure of exploring these more remote and less well visited destinations to be overwhelmingly positive.
Where travel to these countries is perhaps more expensive than one would expect, we will look into the issues raised as we do aim for all our tours to exceed expectations and take pride in the standard and performance of our tour leaders. We will be in touch.
Amazing scenery and weather, accommodation and organisation disappointing
Guided W ttrek in Torres del Paine. Scenery was stunning, weather was great, walking was harder than advertised, certainly not moderate (over 75km in 4 days over rugged mountainous terrain) Guide was knowledgable but not very strong at managing the group. Accommodation and food were disappointing. Ecocamp had several elements that were not very 'eco'

Rating for tour operator:JLA knowledgeable and answered queries quickly. Some information pre trip could improve in terms of equipment needed. Also a questionnaire to ascertain information on trekking experience and motivation would improve the experience as guide & groups could be allocated more appropriately
