We fundraise regularly to support Marie Curie and thought we would do another hike this year. We wanted to hike coast to coast following the Hadrian's Wall route, but we needed places to stay and local information, and so we booked our holiday through Mickledore Walking Holidays; they booked our overnight stays, provided local information in advance for evening meals and planned packed lunches and luggage transfers.

Mickledore were superb throughout our holiday, the information we received in advance was invaluable and allowed us to book where we would have our evening meals in advance of our holiday, everything was planned to perfection. Thank you so much Mickledore, we'll be back!!

We walked Hadrian‘s Wall from Newcastle to Bowness in 7 days. We were very lucky with the weather, because we had sunshine every day even though it was April. It was an absolute dream holiday, thanks in large part also to the wonderful organisation by Mickledore.

We had a wonderful time during this holiday. Accommodation and luggage transport as well as transport to the accommodation when necessary was organised and arranged by Mickledore and it went without a hitch the entire time. The B&Bs chosen were of a high quality and really let you relax after the long walks. The dinner suggestions were very helpful. The team was always friendly and helpful when we had some issues while booking the holiday. I would absolutely recommend them for any walking tour bookings in the UK.

In the spring of 2018 I walked the most beautiful section of the historic Hadrian's Wall trail in northern England, between Carlisle and Corbridge. It was a brilliant experience. Not only were the trail, the historic attractions and the weather gorgeous, but Mickledore had done a great job organising the trip for me, meaning I got to have dinner at lovely restaurants and stay overnight at superb B&Bs (several of which had bath tubs, which is the best thing ever after a long walk). I also had my luggage transferred from B&B to B&B every day, meaning I didn't have to carry 20 kg on my back while walking, which was great (and surprisingly affordable). All in all, a superb experience.

Mickledore did a great job organising my trip for me. The B&Bs they had booked for me were uniformly excellent, the luggage transfers worked without a hitch (and were very affordable -- no single supplement!) and the information they gave me on the trail, public transport, where to have dinner, etc. was thorough and very useful. In short, I hugely enjoyed my holiday, and I will definitely book another walking holiday with Mickledore at some point.

Easy to liaise with when organising the holiday, reasonably priced

Because Mickledore took such excellent care of me my only concern was to enjoy myself. I couldnt get lost as the maps, supportive text and information were so well laid out. Each day i saw nature in all its glory and mans addition to it. Hadrians wall is something everyone should do especially with a company such as Mickledore as they make you feel so secure and looked after.

I have been on many holidays that offer the same service as Mickledore. Well they need to take lessons from Mickledore. From start to finish I felt so looked after and secure. Nothing had veen left to chance. They were so polite when you rang up. They did everythibg they said would and more.
