I booked the Hadrian's Wall walk within 10 days of departing and the Mickledore team couldn't have been ore helpful or accommodating in resolving final queries and expediting the pack and itinerary to me.This was my first solo traveler experience, and the hosts of all of the B&B's couldn't made me feel more welcome. A first class service covering one of the nicest walking routes in the UK.

The service was exemplary and very personable. I never waited long for a response and had full confidence setting off on my first solo traveler experience.

Spent seven days walking Hadrian's Wall path west to east. Mickledore booked the accommodation arranged to transport my luggage between each stop. Breakfast and packed lunch provided each day. Very well organised and documented. If anyone is contemplating this challenge I have no hesitation in recommending Mickledore.

Very helpful, efficient and provided all the information I needed to support my walk. A good company to book with.

My husband and I (ages 74 and 78) walk Hadrian's Wall Path coast to coast in 10 days. All lodging and luggage transfer done by Mickledore. Wonderful B&Bs.

Mickledore planned everything and we walked the wall on our own, No guide needed.

I walked the Hadrian’s Wall Path from east to west in eleven days and I enjoyed every stage. The landscape is wonderful, the remains of the Roman Empire quite interesting and the old villages, churches and farms along the path had this real British character I like. I walked alone but was never lonesome as I met with nice people along the path and was received by friendly and helpful hosts in the B&Bs and Inns that were booked for me by Mickledore.

I booked the holiday with Mickledore - Walking Holidays, which I found on the internet and that appeared to be a good choice. Everything was perfect: the information, communication, accommodations and luggage courier: Top!

A week walking with all accommodation and luggage transfers arranged by Mickledore. Excellent daily directions and mapping. A first rate experience from start to finish.

Our third booking with Mickledore. As always, very flexible to meet our needs. All contact was excellent and very efficient. The accommodation was all very good. All parts of the holiday including luggage transfers worked like clockwork. Will definately be booking again.

Three ladies from Denmark and Norway, we walked from Corbridge to Carlisle along the Hadrians Wall trail. Roman remains, northern English landscape, a variety of accommodation and food gave us a good holiday experience. Perhaps we should have walked from west to east as we were unlucky with strong wind and rain, but starting in Corbridge village and ending in Carlisle town suited us well.

Mickledore provided what they offered and promised. Accommodation, luggage transport and information worked well, also straight forward payment from abroad.

We traveled the whole Hadrian's Wall Path from Segedunum to Bowness On-Solway I 8 days in a group of 9 people in great harmony. The most exciting part are the 3 central stages when you walk alongside Adriano's wall. Many people travel this itinerary in the opposite direction for meteorological issues, but the construction of the wall took place from east to west.

We had a problem with a taxi arrived late and a refund was recognized for the inconvenience. We needed to call Mickledore for a delay in luggage transport and we found an immediate response for the solution of the problem.

Mickledore gave our complex booking (which involved an older party and quite a lot of vacillation!) a lot of patient attention and gave excellent advice. The route was good, with great views and lots of help from the maps supplied. A highlight however was the accommodation which was much appreciated at the end of a long day. All the hotels and guest houses had comfortable, high quality and sometimes very stylishly designed accommodation with friendly staff who literally couldn't have done more to help, and the food available on site and for packed lunches was absolutely excellent. The taxi transfers where we had them were done by cheerful, charming and timely locals who really added to the experience! We had to book in one extra independent traveller at the last minute and they were also helpful with advice for this which made it possible for her to add herself to the party and travel alongside us.

Mickledore are based in Keswick and seem to have excellent relationships with all their suppliers. The suppliers are evidently keen to impress them and feel they need to keep up high standards. The whole booking system is very efficient with great online payment facilities and excellent access to the guides and booking details online.

Everything was organised perfectly with good quality accommodation and information. All queries answered very quickly.
