We hadn't been walking for quite some time, what with bringing up children and then Covid, so booking the Hadrian's Wall walking holiday was our way to ease ourselves back into walking. It was amazing. We wouldn't have changed a thing, and even the weather cooperated. We will definitely be booking another walking holiday with Mickledore.

Words to describe Mickledore - efficient, good communicators, very well organised, very knowledgeable of the local areas, providing excellent resources, good problem solvers (not a problem caused by them, but by our bank)

We walked hadrian's wall in a week after booking accommodation and breakfast through mickledore. Everything went according to plan and we had beautiful accommodation and were very well fed!

Mickledore amongst other things organise walking holidays. We booked one of their self guided walks.

I recently walked Hadrian’s Wall with the accommodation bookings and luggage transfers all arranged by Mickledore. The accommodation was excellent with lovely friendly hosts. Our luggage was waiting for us on arrival at each stop off point. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. We just had to walk!

Mickledore respond quickly to emails and keep customers informed from the point of booking to the holiday itself. I have full confidence in the back up they provide although thankfully I have never had to call on them. Great, personal service is offered. This is my fourth holiday with the company and all have been beautifully planned.

My wife and I are pastors in Washington State in the USA and were awarded a sabbatical for the summer of 2022. We wanted an adventure that was also relaxing and would give us proper space to reflect and pray. We found Mickledore online and, on perusing their walks, decided to combine portions of the Cumbria Way and Hadrian's Wall walks on their advice. The experience was nothing short of amazing! Mickledore's advice about how to organize the holiday was perfect and surprisingly affordable even for persons with a fairly modest income. The hospitality they arranged along our route blew us away and the sights we saw perfectly achieved our goals for the trip. Before the walk was even half begun we were talking about how we had to do this again and bring our kids once they're older! Will do this again.

Mickledore arranged everything perfectly and were so easy and helpful in all communication, both when setting up the holiday and when actually on it. Their advice was particularly spot-on -- they helped us set up a custom walk combining portions of two others for an amazing experience.

A fabulous week walking Hadrian’s Wall from Bowness on Solway to Newcastle. Mickeldore were really helpful and gave excellent advice in planning our holiday.

Very good communication by email and helpful on the phone. Good maps and information sent to us. Good B&Bs booked expect one not quite as good as the others. Would have been good if they had suggested a rest day and a visit to Vindalanda (a spectacular Roman site and museum, the best in Europe). We did actually visit and catch the bus instead of a substantial part of one day's walking.

We had a lovely walking holiday, with excellent views over the beautiful landscape of Northumbria and Cumbria. The weather was exceptionally good and the wall and it's remains - in particular the archaeological sites - are stunning. In the pubs there are plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans and the food tastes delicious. I can't wait to do my next walking holiday in a different part of Great Britain!

All was arranged well by our tour operator. The transport of both our luggage and ourselves went perfect. Except for one place, all the other places where we stayed were of excellent quality: clean, welcoming and good food.

Every last detail was covered and the accommodation used was extremely high. We never worried about a thing over the whole of our eight days instead we could concentrate on what we came to do..walk Hadrian's wall
