We arrived in Ljubljana and spent a day there. Then we got a train to Postojna, stayed nearby and then, over 6 days, hiked to Trieste. On one of these days we also saw the Skocjan Caves

Everything was organized to perfection. Each step of the journey worked exactly as planned. The people at the company that I dealt with had a complete understanding of both my own situation and what we were attempting to accomplish. All correspondence with the operators was replied to punctually and with great accuracy. Payment was simple.

This was a point to point walking holiday and the first we have done with Onfoot holidays. We had a wonderful time. All the arrangements, luggage transfer, accommodation and route maps were excellent. The countryside was beautiful with flowers and trees just coming into leaf. The places we stayed were all small and charming yet each had it's own unique character. The food was delicious everywhere but especially in the two agroturismos we stayed in. The small hilltop towns were fascinating and there were few if any other tourists. We walked for between 4 and 6 and a half hours a day but there were choices of route to lengthen or shorten this.

Excellent communication and response to all queries. The information pack we received with maps etc was the best we have ever had from similar travel companies organising walking holidays. We would highly recommend them and intend to travel with them again.

What a fantastic experience from beginning to end! The holiday was well organised, with wonderful accommodation, varied paths, historic hillside towns and beautiful scenery. We were even lucky with the weather as the sun shone on us for the entire week. As there were maps and walk descriptions provided this gave us the confidence to walk independently rather than walk to the pace of an organised group, with the added bonus of our accommodation being booked and bags transferred.

On Foot holidays are great! This was my fourth hoiday booked with them and each time i'm treated as an individual rather than just another customer. They really know their stuff and are happy to answer in depth questions about any aspect of the trip including getting there and back. It was also helpful to have a point of contact in the region you are staying as it gave an added sense of security in case there were any problems - not that there has been.

The success of a Self-guided walking holiday depends on preparation and backup. Our walking holiday in Andalucia was a great success because the guidance was brilliant and the accommodation, etc were great. we were even able to change what we did on the last day the previous evening!

The walks were along very interesting routes and the accommodation was always a pleasant surprise at the end of the day. Having your luggage transferred adds to the overall enjoyment of the trip.

Without fail they are very pleasant to deal with and efficient in every detail. They demonstrate a really caring attitude to their clients. Nothing is too much trouble.

My On Foot Andalucian holiday was very memorable. I loved getting into the ancient heart of Andalucia, hiking through antique olive orchards and pastures that were created by hand centuries ago. We hiked down an 1800 year old Roman road. We climbed an ancient watchtower. We passed by countless stone fences from time immemorial, some very high in the mountains, that told the agricultural history of the area. And we passed by flocks of goat and sheep, sometimes with attending shepherds, that made it a living history. I marveled at the connection I felt with the history of this area throughout the holiday. The hike was well thought out. The lengths were perfect for a challenging daily trek ,but allowing enough time to find our hotels, freshen up, and head out for some daily tapas and exploration of the local town. i will remember this holiday for it's beauty, solitude and unique cultural experience for years to come. I have already spread the word about On Foot Holidays to friends and family and am looking at booking future trips for myself. I highly recommend On Foot to anyone who is looking for a genuine cultural experience.

The service provided by On Foot Holidays exceeded my expectations. The level of organization was perfect. On Foot thought of every detail, from packing tips, to help with travel suggestions to and from the route. In addition they personalized the experience by helping coordinate my trip with the trip of another client and close friend of mine. Though we made separate bookings On Foot knew that we planned to hike together and went out of their way to book us in the same hotels and restaurants when possible. From booking questions through travel preparation and finally in follow up On Foot was very responsive. Emails were returned promptly and all questions were addressed directly and thoroughly and with a cheery tone. I couldn't be happier with On Foot Holidays.

We walked in Andalucia through breathtaking scenery and enjoyed every day. Months later we still reminisce.

As with our previous walks with this tour operator, everything went flawlessly. The six-day walk from Zahara to Ronda went through staggeringly beautiful countryside, varying from day to day. The villages along the way we're wonderful, the people friendly and helpful, and our accommodations were excellent.

Mary and the team at On Foot Holidays did a fantastic job, as they have with our previous walks. They planned and executed every detail of our trip wonderfully, including travel arrangements, route information, accommodations, and meals. We've learned to have complete confidence in their thoroughness and reliability.

The walking holiday from village to village in Andalucia was excellent. The hotels are great and the self guided hike were perfect. On Foot Holidays took great care to make sure everything is taken care of . There is a local person to contact in case of emergency and the routes were very well planned. For those who does not like to walk 5-6 hours a day there are plenty of options. I am already planning my next trip with them.

On Foot Journey is very attentive and very detail oriented. I had to miss my original trip dates due to an accident and they had no trouble postponing and re booking my trip. They respond to their emails promptly and I really think they are a first class operator.

The walking guides were fantastic and comprehensive-- we had a bookstore hiking guide we brought along in case we needed help-- and On Foot's instructions were FAR superior to the published book! The accommodations were beautiful, the food was delicious, the walks were glorious, and we could never have put this together on our own. This was our best holiday in our lives-- our best holiday yet-- because we are planning our next trip already!
