They were extremely efficient and helpful. By far the best we have used for walking holidays.

Brilliantly organised and a wonderful experience

A seven day self-guided walking holiday on La Gomera. Stunning views and fascinating landscape. Luggage transported for us and comfortable, clean accommodation.

We have used On Foot for several years. Their itineraries always seem to get the balance right between length of walk and difficulty. Clear instructions, good accommodation and helpful local rep. Food and wine are important too and On Foot get that!

Andalucia- White Villages of the Ronda Mountains

Bus from Malaga to Ronda then taxi to Zahara. Five days of self-guided walking through this lovely National Park. Dinner, B&B accommodation pre-booked in small guest houses; heavy luggage taken from and to each venue via taxi. Final Night in Ronda and then bus back to Malaga. The scenery, hospitality and accommodation were all amazing!

On Foot Holidays are friendly and incredibly well organised. All the necessary detailed information was provided for self-guided walking in this relatively remote area. We also had an app which alerted us if we were straying from the designated path, which we did a couple of times. Very helpful local representive also on hand to answer any specific questions.

Magical Walk in La Gomera

Wearing many layers in foggy cloud forest down to arid desert garden areas...and back up again! Very diverse and fascinating walk in a lovely, uncrowded and magical island. Finished with a stay in the historical and elegant Parador hotel in San Sebastian. Every detail was meticulously covered by On Foot Holidays -- from walking route notes to inns to meals and transport. A very enjoyable and wonderful getaway!

Always ready to help, the good folks at On Foot Holidays are walkers themselves and love travel and adventure and their love for that really shines through when they plan holidays for others. I know we are always safe and in good hands with them.

pleasant walking in a beautiful and little touristed area of Italy; perfect welcomes, food, drink and weather

6 days walking in Campania in March, sunny with cool sea breezes. So early in the season one avoids the crowds, but not all facilities are fully operational. I would like to find more such less discovered areas in Italy, and in earlier and later months of the year. Welcoming and mostly very pleasant accommodation, excellent local food and win, spectacular historic villages, terrific views over hill and sea.

Responsive above all, quick to reply, useful to have a local contact point, good choice of region, timing and accommodation. One reservation - the switch to only app-based routes was too much for my phones.

Another great walk

On Foot have developed another great walk in the Marina Alta hills behind the Costa Blanca. As always the booking & admin was straightforward and the new App which includes the maps and walking instructions as well as details on the places visited and hotels is both easy to use, well designed and very comprehensive and of course this saves a lot of paper. Rating for tour operator:

We have used two other companies for walking holidays in the past but in recent years have walked five or six times with On Foot and would not now travel with anyone else. They have developed walks with a sense of purpose and challenge and always seem to have found the best small hotels and some great food. The App - walk notes always work and there is always useful local support a phone call away.

Challenging hiking on an interesting island

Good combination of a walking on day and a stay local day in each of the village bases. Fantastic sense of achievement, with some big climbs and walking up to, and over the top of, the island. Really interesting scenery, and walking routes.

Rating for tour operator:

Very well organised, with thorough notes and guidance. A much more personal feel than some of the bigger walking holiday companies. The On Foot holidays app, with linked GPX files was a great help, as was having a local contact to sort out any queries.

Rhine Valley by Ronald, 6 Jan 2025

Excellent Rhine Valley Walking Tour

We had a perfect, week-long walk down the Rhine valley which included great views, great small hotels, great wine, and great food. While we expected the area to be frequented by tourists, we found the majority of the time we were on our own to enjoy the views and towns. Sure, Koblenz has some cruise boats, but our experience felt as authentic as any holiday we have taken, the reputation as an attraction for visitors notwithstanding.

The tour was well organized with every logistical detail without a hitch and every recommendation right-on. We take an On-Foot walk annually and have found them to be among the best holiday's we have had.
