This was a pilgrimage taking in the Passion Play in Oberammergau. I stayed at a beautiful hotel on the shore of lake Achensee in Austria where the warm hospitality of the staff and the beautiful surroundings made a deep impression on me. The Passion Play itself was a work of art combining music and drama and it was both moving and inspirational.

I have travelled with McCabe several times and they plan everything carefully, provide excellent and well-informed tour guides a swell as arranging good hotels and accommodation for us. They give excellent advice to help prepare for the trip and from beginning to end you feel looked after and in good hands.

Excellent weather. Austria was lovely, the Maria Alm music festival was a bonus. the Passion Play was the experience of a lifetime.

A pilgrimage - 35 people. 5 days in Maria Alm in Austria and 2 days in Oberammergau for the Passsion Play. It was very well organised. our leaders were excellent.

Spent a week in Austria with an overnight stay in Germany to visit the 2022 Passion Play at Oberammergau. A wonderful holiday and spiritual experience.

Travel details were comprehensive and well documented. Tour leaders were very helpful and nothing too much trouble.

A group of 27 went to Austria & Germany to see the Oberammergau Passion Play [deferred in 2020 to 2022]. McCabe's organisation made this a very special pilgrimage. The McCabe representative in Oberammergau were superb and although we had our own space you felt well supported.

It was a wonderful experience I thoroughly enjoyed the trip.. The hotels very comfortable. Staff very accommidating. It was worth the cost.

Harry was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about his work and very pleasant and accommodating.

Efficient, caring, well-organised

Lufthansa Flights from LHR, BHX, MAN & DUB to Munich. Coach to St Martin BEO Lofer. Day in Salzburg. Walking, cable car and chair lift in mountains. Free day at Zell am See. Then on to Oberammergau for the Passion Play.

McCabe had tour reps at all airports and in the two tour centres - both terrific - and had also appointed a wonderful group leader.

We had a lovely stay in Maria Alm Austria where we had a balance between pilgrimage and holiday with a chance to relax and to explore. The time spent there was just enough as there was not a great deal to do without organised trips Going on to Oberammergau was great and we enjoyed the stop at the lake. The passion play was truly fantastic and we were so impressed by not only the performance but the organisation. Getting everyone fed lunch before the play and during the interval must be quite difficult but was done well.

They responded quite quickly to any enquiries and we're flexible when it came to us wanting to stay on for three additional nights in Munich. We arranged our accommodation and they arranged our flight back.
