Local guide excellent

We saw and did everything we could have wanted while on the trip and more. There is certainly no question that you get your money's worth!! The only thing that we would have appreciated is a day off to truly relax somewhere in the middle (some of our group were so tired they took a day off halfway through to recover but this meant missing excursions). Our guide was simply the best joining us in our praise and also telling us about all the history and significance of the sites in great depth. All travel and arrangements were expertly organised with no hiccups at all.

A well run and managed study holiday.

Efficient booking with McCabes via the St Albans Diocesan Office. A friendly visit from the rep to the preparation evening was appreciated and the same friendly face appeared in the second part of the tour.

We saw a lot of places in the time. Rather too many as it was difficult to remember which was which afterwards. However, I do not know how this could be remedied other that having more days.Overall a wonderful experience with a very pleasant and knowledgable guide.

I did not book the tour but was part of a group. We were ell looked after on the tour and I was satisfied with their input.

Although our pilgrimage lasted only six full days in The Holy Land, each day was packed with visits, very cleverly organised and arranged to maximise the time available. Our guide was unbelievably good, passing on his knowledge with tremendous skill and patience. Our coach driver was extremely competent and very friendly. A superbe professional team!

Good September weather enabled very memorable visits in Rome,Siena, Florence and Assisi, Our hotels, guides, coach driver and fellow-pilgrims made it a holiday to treasure and we shall remember it for a long time, especially when the English winter arrives

Excellent in every respect

This was very definitely a pilgrimage and not a holiday. The days were often long and packed, but the plus side of this was that we felt we had visited all the significant sites in Jerusalem, around the Dead Sea and the Sea of Galilee. The local guide provided by McCabe's local partner was excellent, both in his historical and Biblical knowledge. It was a 2 site holiday; the hotel in Jerusalem was immediately outside the Old City. It was a very short walk to go back into the Old City to re-visit churches at leisure. The hotel in Tiberias was very comfortable and right on the lakeside.

McCabe are not simply a tour operator, but support several projects in Holy Land/Palestine via the McCabe Trust. Our itinerary included visits to 2 of these projects to see and hear first hand about the support given and how much it is appreciated.

Not a moment was wasted therefore we saw just about every thing. Bassam, the guide assigned to us could not have been bettered.His command of the English language was phenominal as was his knowledge of the history of the country & of the bible.I was thrilled & overawed by the experience.
