Very tiring “full on” holiday but great fun - family holiday of a lifetime

Really impressed with the level of service that Nan and her team gave us . We had been waiting to do the trip for 8 years and yet they still had our original route available. I will always use Vacations to America and have recommended them to every one we met. All the hotels were really impressed with the trip diary that they supplied . A full 5 stars to them.

We went to the USA, flying into Oakland (San Francisco) airport, picked up a hire car and went travelling. Our first destination was the Yosemite area for 4 nights. Moving onto Lake Tahoe for 4 nights again, the 3 nights in Monterey before flying out of Oakland.

We had travelled with them before, when we did New England in the Fall in 2009, which they organised beautifully, which is why we suggested trying them to our local travel agent, (Fred Olsen Travel in Felixstowe). Again they did a splendid job of putting everything together into an overall package that worked perfectly.

2 week self drive tour of Utah and Arizona. We spent 2 nights in Las Vegas then toured some of the National Parks - Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyon Lands , Monument Valley and the Grand Canyon. We did stayed in a mix of lodges and hotels, some in within the National Parks. Scenery was stunning, accommodation was very good.

Tour operator was Vacations to America. Have used the company to travel to USA 3 times before. Always easy to plan routes and get quotes. Good advice/guidance on destinations which help in choosing where to stay. Good response from company when calling/emailing. Paperwork always arrive on time and travel documentation is well presented in a booklet form (contain good driving instructions).No problems have been encountered in USA - car hire, hotels, upgrades have all gone smoothly.

We had booked a fly drive holiday to the coast of North Carolina some months in advance and the day before we flew news was coming in that Hurricane Florence was about to hit the coast of North Carolina! We moved inland to the mountains and stayed in a wonderful inn which was so relaxing. We were able to continue our second week as planned and had a complete change visiting Charleston and Savannah which were great cities to explore on foot although the humidity did hit you! Loved the food and architecture.

We cannot thank Julie at Vacations who rearranged the first week of our holiday the day before we flew and recommended a place in the Smoky Mountains so we avoided the coast. Far from being disappointed we loved our first week and had a wonderful time. We have used Vacations to America several times and we always feel we get a personal service from friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Thank you.

14 day 'tailor made trip' to the USA featuring Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York using Amtrak between cities

This is the third trip to the USA arranged for us by 'Vacations to America' through our chosen Travel Agent - Fred Olsen Travel. The arrangements for each trip have worked perfectly with excellent documentation and guidance notes and first rate accommodation in very good locations. I have no hesitation in recommending both 'Vacations to America' and Fred Olsen Travel.

A great holiday initially in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. Only disappointment was that we had asked for a unit in the Boca Rica Unit as we could then watch the Fireworks from our balcony at 9.00pm.We were in the Conch unit with lagoon view - very nice but was a shame as we had booked this a year ago and could not watch the firework display form our room at night with our young granddaughter. Also another point when checking in to the Mainsail Beach Inn at Anna Maria Island was that we had booked and expected a 3 Bedroom beach level unit and we were told this was taken and given unit 4b up the stairs. Having also booked this a year ago as soon as the units were released I do not understand why we were not in the unit requested and able to walk out from the patio to the beach. This holiday was not cheap and having booked as early as we possibly could it was very disappointing that we were not allocated the accommodation we requested.

very helpful and useful information before travel

Had two days in Miami at the Turnberry Isle, a lovely hotel except for all the building work! Well worth taking an everglades tour and boat cruise. Drove to universal and stayed at the Loews Pacific, great hotel and location to both parks. A visit to the Volcano Bay waterpark is a must. Spent Christmas and the New Year at Walt Disney World! Stayed at the Art of Animation resort, in a cars suite which comfortably slept six. It is rated as a value hotel and i would 100% recommend it. What better place to be on Christmas day and New Year was just as much fun, the best fireworks.

The tour operator arranged our flights, accommodation and car hire, we arranged our park tickets. All paperwork was sent through organised and on time. We had an issue with one of the hotels we stayed in, extensive building work was being carried out and the operator did not notify us. However, we have booked several holidays through Vacations, I would thoroughly recommend them as a tour operator.

This was third visit to Pink Paradise and although good, looking a little tired with same towels and bed line from our first visit a number of years ago, so a little disappointed. Area and house are in a lovely location which will revisit.
