It was a Religious pilgrimage to Lourdes with the Middlesbrough Diocese. . Coming from Cheshire I needed to stay at the Premier Inn Darlington Morton Park the night before , in order to be in time for the early morning flight ( perhaps infirm or poorly patients might have found a 5 am booking in time a challenge ) .The trip lasted 5 days / 4 nights . All the services and connections were well managed and went smoothly . A rep called each evening to the hotel and was always available if there had been any problem to sort out ( for me there were no such problems ) . I felt totally confident that Tangney Tours had everything in hand and covered . The trip went without a hitch , weather was good and I can’t wait for next year !

TTours were making sure this trip worked on every level . It was a great success due to their team efforts. and family approach .

The holiday was the Birmingham diocesan pilgrimage to the shrine of Lourdes in the south of France. The travel arrangements were organised by Tangney Tours and these arrangements went remarkably smoothly at a time when considerable difficulties were being experienced by a large number of travellers - especially those travelling by air. The hotel accommodation at the Saint Sébastien Hotel was excellent value for money with excellent food, pleasant, clean rooms and staff, who made it their business to be helpful. The religious activities were organised by the Catholic diocese of Birmingham and these all ran smoothly. Sensible precautions prevailed throughout with regard to keeping people safe during the covid-19 pandemic. A wonderful week was capped by remarkably nice weather in a part of the country where this is certainly not guaranteed!

Travel arrangements all ran very smoothly. Clear information was given before travel and air travel was on time with very good transport link coaches between airport and hotel. Clear information and instructions were available during travel and throughout the week.

From start to finish it was very well organised and we were well looked after

Despite the flight delays to and fro everyone seemed very relaxed and friendly. Our tour guides were there for us.

My first visit to Lourdes accompanied by 3 friends who go annually A Very long delay at Birmingham Airport both checking in and getting through security -plus , once onboard the aircraft, hours of waiting for groundstaff to load luggage….. so a very late take off and late arrival in Lourdes Lovely hotel Solitude/ location ,food ,room ,facilities including roof top swimming pool and sun terrace all great. Staff very good

Excellent organisation prior to the holiday but felt let down in the resort Unfortunately we had no contact at all with a tour representative whist we were staying in our hotel Solitude in Lourdes I would not have known any different except my friends told me this was not the norm ? In past years a rep would call in and check all was ok Told by a person staying in another hotel our flight number on return had changed ……on our last day one of our party joined a meeting at another hotel for an update of our return travel plan Also advised by another tour guide in our hotel later in the week that we should not have paid local tax to the hotel on checking in as it was included in our payment to Tangney Tours So we’re able to claim the money back at Reception !!

My two friends and I hah the most wonderful experience of visiting Lourdes this year after not being able to due to the pandemic.not as many people there but I thought it was a wonderful effort on people to start our wonderful journey again and hopefully next year numbers will increase

Mine wasn't a holiday - it was a pilgrimage. As such, it wasn't about sun-seeking and drinking at the pool-side, but rather taking part in a prayerful visit to the place in Lourdes, France, where the Mother of God appeared to a little girl, Bernadette.

Organising the pilgrimage was a huge operation and Tangney Tours managed it very well, gathering people at the airport, assisting the disabled, organising helpers and generally ensuring everyone arrived safely in Lourdes for their pilgrimage.
