This was a tour visiting some small estates producing differing wines.

The target market for Tangney Tours is pilgrims visiting religious sites. The business first established over forty years ago and never lost sight of its roots.

Hotel and travel very good, overall enjoyable experience.

Very good and very attentive

We were a small group of 13 pilgrims from south Cheshire. Our Parish Priest led the group, we flew out on a Monday, returning on the Friday. The hotel was excellent, full board with a pleasant lounge/bar area to socialise in the evenings.

Paul from Tangney Tours arranged things for us, including a wheelchair, and transport on more than one occasion to the Domain. He guided us round on our initial visit and was generally most helpful and friendly.

Father Paul was excellent as our Spiritual Leader but it was too much to expect him to also be the guide. One would expect a qualified Guide to be included in the price (which wasn’t cheap). It meant that we learned nothing about the culture when travelling on the coach from Lisbon to Fatima. I think having local knowledge of the surrounding areas is important on a Pilgrimage (on any foreign tour in fact!). For such a small group (20 of us) to put us in two separate hotels was unacceptable-it inhibited the cohesion necessary for a Pilgrimage-6 in one hotel & 18 in the other one and Father Paul would have had to pay extra to join the small group for an evening meal! This was not my idea of a true Pilgrimage (& I have had the privilege of attending several). Unfortunately, I would find it difficult to recommend Tangey Tours to other groups of would be Pilgrims judging from my first experience. The people I travelled with were wonderful so it was a pleasure to join them but it would have been much more beneficial to have been a WHOLE PILGRIMAGE GROUP.

I've long wished to go to Lourdes but not on my own so this holiday ticked all the boxes. I was able to get holiday insurance at a reasonable cost. I was able to fly from my local airport and be in the company of like-minded people, many of whom were about my age group. The tour guide was informative and helpful without interfering too much.

The Tour Operator was Tangey Tours on behalf of the RC Diocese of Middlesbrough. The charter planes were on time and of a good standard - Enter Air from Poland.

This was a pilgrimage which I found very useful. It made me closer to God

A 6-day pilgrimage to Lourdes, France with emphasis on spiritual worship but yet having opportunity for social activities with fellow pilgrims. Excursions were also available, subject to weather.

Our group of pilgrims was well-looked after by Tangney Tours who ensured a smooth experience from booking through to return to the UK. A good well-balanced itinerary was provided including excellent places of worship for daily Mass. The hotel selected was simply perfect for our group and food was very good. The only slight downside was the cancellation of the main excursion due to local weather conditions but a simple alternative was made available. The tour guides were first-class.
