Botswana Safari - Animals and Birds
A mix of fixed camps and mobile camping safaris. Our 6th visit to Botswana, this time for 3 weeks. Extremely well looked after both in camp and on game drives. Everyone pleasant, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, considerate and helpful. Being so remote and getting really close to animals and birds in their own natural environments is very special. We stayed mainly in Wilderness fixed camps and rate them highly in all respects. The mobile camps were operated by Letaka Safaris of Maun and are extremely well thought out, well equipped and organised. One doesn't need to lift a finger as cheerful, thoughtful camp staff calmly look after all the chores. Being more remote than the fixed camps gives more opportunity to observe the more secretive wildlife, especially early and late in the day. Highly recommended.

Cape Town, Winelands and Safari
We have recently returned from a fantastic holiday in the beautiful South Africa. During our 14 day trip we covered some spectacular spots. It felt like every place we visited was the best of what SA had to offer, whether that be accommodation, food, wine or scenery. Starting in the Winelands was the perfect way to ease into holiday mode; Franschhoek is a world class wine producer with views to match. A few nights here before heading south ...

It felt like every place we visited was the best of what SA had to offer, whether that be accommodation, food, wine or scenery. Starting in the Winelands was the perfect way to ease into holiday mode; Franschhoek is a world class wine producer with views to match. A few nights here before heading south to Grootbos Nature Reserve. Whale watching, shark diving, horse-back riding, hiking....what more could you want. A night in Hermanus before heading to Cape Town for 6 nights. No shortage of things to do in this great city and the surrounding area, certainly too much to write about. Highlights have to be the restaurants, wine region of Constantia and the beaches at Clifton, Camps Bay and LLandudno. Finishing in safari was a very good idea, leaving the best till last. The Savana Lodge is a very well oiled operation and everything from accommodation, food, comfort of vehicles and knowledge of guides is of the highest order. Highly recommended.

Friends of ours recommended Jane Walker from Safari Consultants. We took comfort that Jane had arranged a much longer and more complicated (multiple countries) trip for them. We contacted Jane who spent time asking us lots of questions about what we wanted from the holiday and what we didn't like/accept when travelling abroad. Once Jane had got a picture of how we like to travel an itinerary came together very quickly. We bounced ideas back and forth and very soon we had nailed everything. Jane was always prompt with her responses either via email or on the phone. We must give Jane a lot of credit for arranging such a great trip with very little notice (2-3 months prior to departure). I have recommended Jane to numerous friends planning trips to South Africa, as a friendly, reliable and very experienced advisor.

Well organised, excellent trip, lovely camps & top class guides.
The guides are key for our trips, they were all good - Kichaka Expeditions is one on it's own for the experience and extremely comfortable and superb food, particularly given it's location - in the middle of nowhere. The other camps were great, but the guide and driver teams at both Mdonya River Camp and Selous Impala Camp were excellent. The Southern Parks in Tanzania are full of game and bird life, but not so many tourists - good for visitors ...

The Southern Parks in Tanzania are full of game and bird life, but not so many tourists - good for visitors not being crowded, but better for the camps & therefore the Parks if more people were a bit more adventurous and went down there - it is worth it.

This was not the first holiday to Africa with Safari Consultants, and was another great trip - arrangements all go like clockwork and matches our group to the camps really well. They understand our priorities, hence comments about the guides in the holiday section. Would I travel with them again - you bet!

Exceptional African Experience
We had a 7 day safari in Kenya followed by 5 nights in Zambia to visit the Victoria Falls. Our safari was split between 2 camps, the first was Kicheche Laikipia for 3 nights then Kicheche Valley in Nabiosho Conservancy for 4 nights. Both camps were exceptional in every way from the tents, to the staff and the game viewing was outstanding! The tents were very well appointed with great views in both camps. The staff were so friendly and attended to our every need and the food in both camps was superb. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and had an amazing ability to position the vehicles to gain the best photos, we also learnt so much about the wildlife and their habitat during our stay. We then stayed at the Islands of Siankaba on the banks of the Zambezi in Zambia and have never felt so relaxed and pampered. The tents are all overlooking the river and so have views to die for, the service is exceptional and the peace and tranquility is something I have never experienced before.

Michele at Safari Consultants organised the most incredible holiday of a lifetime and we can't thank her enough for such a wonderful experience. She really listened to what we wanted to gain from our holiday and paid so much attention to every detail. The service we received was first class and even whilst we were away Michele was still ensuring that we didn't encounter any problems. Everything ran like clockwork, the camps were amazing and the whole experience was more than we could ever have imagined. A huge thank you to Michele and all at Safari Consultants and we wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Madikwe Magnificent Seven & Waterberg Absolute Luxury Safaris
This two centre safari holiday started at the Bush House in the Madikwe Reserve. A place safe enough to walk out and discover the details of the eco-system.

Amazing Experience
We have just returned from possibly the best family holiday we have ever had. We had 4 nights in Nottens Bush Camp which was incredible. The ambience and service along with the game viewing was first class. Nothing was too much trouble and you actually felt like part of the family rather than a guest. Next on to Glen Avon lodge in Constantia. A peaceful haven just 20 minutes from the city centre of Cape Town and its many attractions but also ...

Finally 3 days in Hermanus at Lavender Manor which was also superb. Highlight was a boat trip where we saw a Great White Shark along with Southern Right Whales.

Safari Consultants came up with our itinerary and provided lots of useful tips and advice. Although we are seasoned travellers I found their input useful and it added value.

Jane Walker was speedy to get in touch and from the first call i didn't need to explore anyone else to build my last minute trip of a lifetime. Jane listened to my requirements and was back to me within 24 hours with options and availability. Throughout the process I was given advice and ideas on what to prepare for, pack and expect which removed all of the stress experienced in recent years from having built my own trips. I am re converted and am back as a fan of using agents for my trips.

Zambia: Without doubt the best so far!
Kaingo and Tafika in the South Luangwa National Park, Old Mondoro on the Lower Zambezi. Great game viewing at all three locations with excellent Leopard sightings at all three. Beautiful bush locations, comfortable camps/lodges. A great trip.
