We went to Zagoria in northern Greece close to the Albanian border via Corfu. Whilst Corfu is lovely Zagoria was the true highlight of our holiday. A ferry across to the mainland was an enjoyable start not a hindrance. The bus station very close which we enjoy much more than taxis, though from Ionina we had to take a Txai as there are no buses up to the mountain villages. On foot did us proud, as they placed us in 3 wonderful villages Kapesevo, Monodendri and Papingo. All our hosts were charming, warm and welcoming (and spoke good English!!). Our rooms delightful, but not plush.....thank goodness! they expected us to enter in our clean walking boots, All the food we were provided with was of a very high standard and utterly delicious. But the core of the holiday was in the walking. Country we had not experienced before, thhe Vikos Gorge was a huge feat for us oldies, but all the lother days were just as interesting both from the geological, fauna and flora. Those wonderful stone villages and their history will remain with us for many years, as will those beautifully built steps leading up to them.

On foot makes everything so easy for us. We did NO homework before our holiday as ther wasn't time or engery. It didn't matter as they provided us with everything we needed and more ( we didn't need a dogdazer for fearsome dogs thank goodness!!) Our route information is 100 percent reliable and accurate. Transfers were smooth and easy, our baggage appeared each night as if by magic And everyone that is associat ed with On Foot are good people and go out of their way to help or answer questions. This has been our 5th holiday with On Foot. At the moment we are able to manage the Medium/hard, although we take longer than the timings. That is partly because the routes we are given are so magnificent we make them last the whole day as we want to savour everything I also would like to thank On Foot for their kindness when we had to cancel a holiday very late for family reasons. Rather than facing the hassle of insurance, they suggested we leave the money with them and we take a holiday as soon as it suited us. We were so grateful as paperwork, re insurance etc. at that time was the last thing we needed. It may be a small company, I can only say it is personal

Self guided walking tour across Bohemia of about 80 kilometre over 5 days.

The fact that me and my wife over the year's are on first name terms with people that we have never met and that they recognize our voices with a cheery hello makes us feel secure in what we are looking for will be action down to the smallest detail.

We were looked after extremely well from booking to return. The self guiding was fun and easy to follow with just enough challenge. The routes, accommodation, food and everyone involved we met were a delight.

We enjoyed a fabulous 7-day self-guided walking tour of the Amalfi Coast in Italy. Following maps and route notes - like a treasure hunt - our tour took us on ancient paths, up and down hidden stairways, on back roads, and through lemon and olive groves to quiet villages and bustling towns, with long stretches of drop-dead gorgeous coastal views along the way. We loved every step of our journey.

The crew at On Foot Holidays were fantastic to work with. From our first inquiry, though the planning and booking process, and the trip itself, they were incredibly responsive. They answered our questions promptly and thoroughly; booked our charming accommodations; arranged for transport of our luggage between hotels; and provided detailed trip notes, maps, and bus and ferry schedules geared specifically to our itinerary. We recommend them whole-heartedly.

Walking through forests, open countryside and quite often in solitude. This experience was just what we needed. Time to look. Time to experience. Time to listen to eachother. Time to stand and see nature. We loved the countryside. .so beautiful. Following the excellent maps and instructions we were orienteering. ..great fun. Czech people were absolutely delightful. The food delicious. The beer slid down our throats. We saw wildlife up close ....deer, wild sheep; kingfishers and more. Each village or town brought history and culture with tasty food and more excellent Czech beer. We were tired on some days but delighted with what we had seen and experienced. On foot holidays prepared us well. They advised us. They are knowledgeable. Holiday packs were spot on. We had a fabulous time. I cried on the last day....why oh why does this experience have to end? We will walk again.

Fab communication. Very polite. Excellent holiday pack which we used every day al day. Office staff attentive professional and polite. Nothing was a bother. We felt cared for. The extra touch of an email wishing us z good holiday was a great touch. All promised happened and without a hiccup. ..something unique there. Stunning part of Italy for walking. walk is 80 miles with a lot of climbing but worth every step! Accommodation is small hotels and bead and breakfast villa's but you eat with you hosts. Food and wine are first class as is the service. From the small town of Varzi the climbing really starts and you reach a height of almast 1600M. Views are stunning! The views as you approach the coast after 6 days are breathtaking! This part of Italy is off the main tourist route so you get a real feel for the area and its people. In summary, the walk of a lifetime!

On Foot holidays based in Salisbury. They do self guided walks all over Europe. All maps, guide notes and in most cases GPX files are provided. Baggage is carried for you from hotel to hotel so all you need is a day pack. This is the 3rd holiday I have been on with On foot and all have been excellent.

Eight days along the Lycian coast, on the 'medium-hard' route. Beautiful! A variety of lodgings and meals along the way - all good. On the limit for heat-plus-exertion, so we alternated days: challenging trek then well-earned flop.

Our second time with On Foot. They were attentive and creative in the runup, 'tailoring' the intinerary to our needs and tastes. The support material - maps and marching instructions - was first class. The varied overnights - hotels and bungalows - were great, and the hosts well tuned-in to the On Foot ethos. On our return, On Foot absorbed our little 'improvement' suggestions very well; efficient, truly enthusiastic about the experience they sell, personally very friendly.
