A wonderful exploration of Ecuador
We spent a few days in Quito, Otavalo, the Cloud Forest at Mindo, then down to Cotopaxi National Park, and to Cuenca via Riobamba. We had a brilliant guide with us most of the way and an experienced driver.

Rating for tour operator:JLA helped us plan our trip and were very sensitive to our specific requirements. They also worked with an excellent local partner Tropic who provided an outstanding guide and experienced driver.

Richly rewarding tour combining Inca and other history with contemporary culture and spectacular natural wonders
Very well organised tour, superb local guides and tour leader, covering a lot of ground very easily and covering a lot of culture eg Inca and religious history as well as nature eg Iguazu Falls and the modern life of all the countries eg Rio and La Paz and sampling a lot of delicious food.

Rating for tour operator:This was a tour delayed by Covid for years and they reorganised lots of things eg dealing with border closures but also flights issues pretty seamlessly and always proactively getting clear and straightforward options so I could decide things by simple e mail exchanges. The best tour operator on this kind of tour I have used.
Memorable Costa Rica
From the start to finish of our holiday, we (group of 4) simply had so much fun. We had the experience of four different habitats and varied modes of transportation. From the start to finish of our holiday, we (group of 4) simply had so much fun. We had the experience of four different habitats and varied modes of transportation. The wild life, flora and fauna in its natural way was simply so enriching, mind blowing and you could not have expected any more from the two weeks in a place where you can easily lose yourself. The warm hospitality and friendliness from everyone we came in contact with will always linger in my heart. There was nothing too much for them to assist with. Always wanted to do more. The food was really good considering beans and rice is their staple morning, noon and night however, when you ventured out, it was not the case. The spices, flavours and freshness of the ingredients made waves in your mouth. Totally unexpected and hugely appreciated. We thought we would see more sloths however, we cannot be more thankful to our guides for locating 10 for us to see. White water rafting was my personal favourite as it was simply a experience to be had. Kayaking through the mangroves and discovering the zillions of bird species made wading through so worthwhile. Snorkelling with turtles and barracudas was a great highlight too and watch an ant eater climb down a tree was spectacular. What an amazing holiday and thank you to Chris and JLA team for making dreams come true!
Rating for tour operator:Chris Rendell Dunn understood our requirements and put together a sensational itinerary. With having our itinerary on Vamoos allowed us t share our daily posts with our family and friends too. What a great app!
The trip of a lifetime
We visited the Iguazu Falls, Atacama Desert, stayed in an Airstream on the Bolivian Salt Flats and finished with 5 days on Easter Island. The whole trip was fabulous with so many wow moments.

Rating for tour operator:We originally planned the trip before covid then had to put it on hold. Sophie Barber from JLA did a great job pulling everything together after so many things (eg flight schedules) had changed in the interim. Sophie used her wealth of knowledge about South America to help us plan a trip that was truly exceptional.
Fantastic bespoke holiday in South America
This was a trip to see specific sights and JLA tailored our trip to meet this. Top of the list was Easter Island. Our trip there was fantastic, excellent trips and brilliant guide. Way surpassed our expectations. Then it was off to the Chilean Lake District to do an Andean crossing into Argentina. The trip was streamlined despite it involving two cars, 3 buses and 3 boats. Once in Argentina we had a private trip to go and see condors in Patagonia...

Once in Argentina we had a private trip to go and see condors in Patagonia. We achieved this and loved Patagonia. Then it was off to Iguazu and no words or pictures could capture this place. A fantastic end to a fantastic holiday.
Rating for tour operator:They worked really hard to achieve the trip we wanted. All of the flights, transfers, trips snd hotel were perfect. Would definitely use them again.
Wonderful Costa Rica Wildlife Tour
We visited Tortuguero National Park, Tirimbina Lodge and Reserve at Sarapiqui, Arenal area, Nosara, Monteverde and San Jose. We stayed in beautiful hotels, took numerous trips with local guides, and had a hire car for all of our trip except to Tortuguero.

Rating for tour operator:JLA advised on and organised the whole trip and did an excellent job. All went like clockwork, all the hotels and activities and guides were excellent, and we had a fabulous time.
Ecuador, The Andes, Rainforest and Galapagos Islands
We had a fantastic trip to Ecuador. There was so much to see in this relatively small country. The Hacienda Zuleta was lovely, La Selva Eco Lodge was wonderful, Quito was interesting and the Galapagos Islands were amazing.

Rating for tour operator:Very good communication throughout the process. We had a few problems with our room reservations although to be fair we are not sure they were the fault of the UK agent but were possibly down to the ground handler in Ecuador - Tropic.
