A truly memorable holiday that will never be forgotten. Touring around Japan was probably the best way to experience the country and different cultures and styles each city had to offer. The mix of city and rural also offered a fantastic insight into the country. We felt right at home.

Inside Japan is an excellent tour operator. They tailored the whole trip to fit with our needs. They also ensured that whilst on the ground you are always looked after and well guided. I would definitely recommend them to anyone travelling to Japan.

We walked the gorgeous Kumano Kodo trail in Japan, stayed on an island off of Kii Katsura and had a fabulous food tour in Osaka . I would heartily encourage anyone to tour with inside Japan. It's a fabulous company!!!

We had an amazing time, travelling to twelve different destinations, enjoying the cherry blossom and getting a real taste of Japan. A wonderful balance of cities and countryside, and an opportunity to experience an incredible culture. This was a wonderful adventure, and a fantastic way to celebrate my big birthday in real style.

The Inside Japan itinerary was brilliantly curated, with a great mix of ryokans and western style hotels. Mark planned an incredible trip to meet the many requirements we discussed, and we enjoyed a wonderful array of beautiful gardens, excellent museums, stunning scenery and incredible food. The detailed instructions also made travelling completely fool proof, and the booklets and travel tips were really useful.

Best holiday I have had. Japan is the most fabulous country and I am already planning to go back to do and see all things I didn't have time for the first time around.

I travelled around Japan for 2 weeks in the cherry blossom season to celebrate my 30th Birthday, and it was one of the best trips of my life. We started off in Tokyo for 2 nights, staying in the heart of Shibuya. There is so much to see in Japan and the subway system is excellent to get around. We then travelled to Hakone National Park where we were fortunate to see Mount Fuji. We took the pirate ship across Lake Ashi and the ropeway up the mountain, which was great. We then headed to Kyoto for 3 days which was my favourite place. Walking around Kyoto in spring is stunning, cherry blossom everywhere, shrines and temples all over the city and fantastic places to eat and drink. I would definitely recommended at least 3 nights there. We then travelled to Hiroshima and did the day trip to Miyajama, which I would recommend. Wild deer everywhere (friendly), great souvenir shops and excellent food stalls. We then went to Osaka for a night and took in all the bright lights. After that we spent 2 days in Takayama, in the Japanese Alps, which was a lovely town, and then back to Tokyo for 2 more nights. The trip would not have been possible without the excellent Shinkansen(bullet train) and the extremely efficient luggage forwarding service Japan offers.

We booked the Best of Japan tour with InsideJapanTours, to celebrate my 30th birthday. I used to be sceptical about booking through a tour company, however booking this trip was the best thing we did. IJT covered everything, flights, accommodation, travel via train and bus and private tours. To add to that, the information pack we received made our trip completely stress free. It included thorough instructions on how to get around Japan, what train to get, how to reserve seats, directions to our accommodation and the excellent luggage forwarding service which we used throughout our trip. As well as this, we had an info pack on each area we were visiting, including recommendations for restaurants, bars and sightseeing ideas. All my partner and I had to do was turn up and enjoy the trip. And it's a trip I will never forget.

My husband and I booked a holiday with Inside Japan Tours for our 10th wedding anniversary, and we took our 4-year-old son with us. We visited Tokyo, Takayama area, Kyoto, Himeji and Hakone National Park. We could not have asked for a better service from Inside Japan, and the trip ended up being a once-in-a-lifetime experience! We loved every minute of the two weeks that we were there, but highlights were the temples, food and mountainous scenery. We're hooked and plan to go back to Japan as soon as time and money allow!

Inside Japan were extremely helpful. As this was a 'special treat' holiday, we had high expectations and were not disappointed. All of our transportation and accommodation were booked for us from the moment we arrived to the moment we left Japan. Our consultant was extremely helpful, advising us on the best things to see with a pre-schooler as well as to satisfy my husband's and my desire to see the cultural sites of interest.
