We went to Japan for a 2 weeks holiday. Nothing could have been better!

InsideJapan made for us a detailed trip making sure we left nothing behind.

Our small group holiday in Vietnam with Inside Asia was brilliant. The routeing and organisation was faultless and included quirky extra activities which we would never have done on our own. Getting up at 5 one morning to see Long Bien market in Hanoi before a Tai Chi class and Pho breakfast was truly memorable!

Inside Asia provided great personal service from booking right through to on the ground in Vietnam.

Winter Highlights in Japan - amazing mix of temples, shrines, wildlife supported by a top expert and photographer ( red crowned cranes, snow monkeys, etc), great food and drink experiences from banquets to street food and breweries to sake shops. Perfectly planned and organised travel around Japan with our tour leader - a mix of public and private transport. A good balance of guided days and free days.

Inside Japan are professional, friendly and the planning and organisation is superb. The whole experience from advice when looking to book a trip, pre-departure information, the actual tour itself and the post-trip follow up was comprehensive and stress-free. This is my 2nd trip with them and I have already booked a 3rd trip later this year with Inside Japan.

Went to Sapporo snow festival and Hokkaido/Honshu in Japan with Inside Japan. Had a wonderful trip which included seeing cranes, owls and "snow" monkeys. Guided round Japanese gardens, met a trainee geisha , ate wonderful food, saw less visited sites and learnt about the history and culture of Japan.

Inside Japan - from initial to contact through booking, tour and return have been accessible, friendly and helpful . I cannot fault their service. Best tour operator I have used. They helped me plan individual travel after my tour and all planning/tickets/ accommodation were taken care of and went smoothly, which saved me much time and worry. I would recommend them to anyone

A wonderful trip travelling though Japan ,starting at the snow festival in Sapporo , to the wild and cold north of Hokkaido to visit the red crown cranes and then South to Kyoto to experience Maiko culture and great food

Inside Japan looked after us from the first phone call through to a personal call just before we left for our trip of a lifetime . We are seasoned travellers and have travelled both independently and with other travel companies in the past and Inside Japan truly rank really high . It will be a pleasure to consider travelling with them again - they have provoked the best pre tour planning and once of the best tour leaders we have ever had

A tailor made tour from Inside Japan tours. 2 and a half weeks on our first trip to Japan. Took in large cities and small country towns, a real mix of experiences. Travelled to places I had not previously heard of, such as Naoshima , Hakone and Miyajima. Wanted a mix of culture, big and bold cities, architecture and art. Not disappointed. Stayed in tourist class hotels and some traditional inns. Took advantage of the Japan Rail pass.

They took the ideas or themes we wanted to explore and tailor made a tour just for us.. They got the balance of cities and smaller places just right and planned it so we could take advantage of the luggage forwarding system so we weren't lugging heavy bags around. Before we departed I had along phone call with Ben, who talked me through any queries I had from our itinerary or on the travel pack they had provided. He took the time to answer what might have been considered as daft questions, but little things that made the journey so easy, such as getting wi-fi from day one and which areas in cities he would recommend. Whilst we were out there I did contact the Japan office a couple of times with a request to help in cancelling a restaurant reservation and also for advice on alternative train times, both queries were answered promptly. WOuld use them again.

Spent two weeks in Japan travelling by rail on a self-guided tour. using their outstanding rail system. We visited six major areas with side trips at all of them. Would highly recommend this vacation to everyone looking for a clean country free of graffiti.

The information pack they provided was oitstanding as well as the two professional guides we had in Tokyo and Kyoto. All the recommendations and suggestions they made enabled us to have a worry free holiday.

Spent three weeks touring Japan in November. Visited the key sights and cities that make this such a wonderful country to visit. Took in the sights ,sounds and cuisine as my wife and I travelled around the country by the Shinkansen trains. Enjoyed walking in the Japanese Alps, particularly enjoying the glorious autumn colours as we experienced the splendour of the walk from Magome to Tsumago. We particularly enjoyed staying in iconic Japanese ryokans which allowed us to appreciate onsen bathing, sleeping on tatami mats. We visited Tokyo for five nights, walked around the palace gardens, ate street food off the Ginza, enjoyed the view from the Tokyo Tower, took a sushi lesson not to forget our visit to the temples of Nikko. Kyoto's temples, particularly the Golden Palace proved a big hit. Travelling on the Shinkansen was an experience in its own right. We took eighteen train journeys on our holiday and always left and arrived on time. It is quite an experience to be standing on the platform as a "bullet train" hurtles through at over 100 mph. We stayed in Hiroshima for two nights so that we could visit the Peace Park Memorial and visit the famous tori gate at Miyajima.

Our holiday was arranged through Inside Japan. Their travel operator Lily discussed our requirements and made up an itinerary that would allow us to maximise our time in Japan. Lily was in regular communication with us as we asked for changes here and there. We wanted an operator who had experience of building an individualised travel programme and whose travel consultants had experience of living in the country and this was the case. We also wanted a company that had a successful record and our dealings with Inside Japan confirmed that.

We went to Japan with InsideJapan Tours. Their organisation, attention to detail and understanding of our requirements (despite us not knowing much about Japan or what we wanted) was superlative. We travelled independently but all our accommodation and travel was booked, with really thorough supporting information provided, so we didn’t have to worry about them, and were just able to concentrate on making the most of our time in Japan. We aren’t wealthy travellers so to spend this much on our holiday was quite something for us, and the holiday more than met our expectations.

InsideJapan Tours had very knowledgeable staff, so we felt confident in following their advice about what would suit us. They had thought of all the details, for instance p, they gave us a booklet for every destination which included a section on A Perfect Day, cafes, shops, attractions. What more could we need! We also felt very comforted about the operator having an office in Japan. We only had one minor blip which they sorted out immediately.
