We went by train from London via Paris to Chur Zermatt Interlaken and Luzern and return to London

Clear excellent knowledge and experience in arranging this sort of trip

We used Ffestiniog Travel to book trains and hotel rooms for an independent journey via London, Amsterdam, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France.

Kate was very helpful in suggesting the best routes, and selecting good seats for us too. The hotels suggested were all within an easy walk of the train stations, comfortable and within budget. The package of information that arrived with the tickets was excellent, with useful hints on everything to make the journeys stress-free. Highly recommended for taking the hassle out of booking a multi-leg journey.

Everything ran like clockwork and we definitely will be returning! Plenty of time allowed between train connections so there was never any concern. And negotiating the RER in Paris was easy (bragging!!) The hotel was excellent, both in position for excursions and in quality.

Booked unescorted tour with Ffestiniog Travel and from the first point of contact everything was easy. Good explanations over a transport question, and full and comprehensive details sent two weeks before the holiday departure, so plenty of time to digest the details.

The tour used local trains to travel the northern coast of Spain. The hotels were excellent and the cities fascinating. The trains were often very infrequent and very slow, but they enabled journeys through impressive mountain and coastal scenery.

Ffestiniog Travel successfully organised a tour that was challenging in terms of frequent onward travel and infrequent trains. Good documentation was provided and an accompanying coach carried luggage and was available as back-up if trains were cancelled.

A rail holiday with a planned itinerary, that became a 'rail replacement bus" holiday that was less organised.

They are polite and responsive. Lack the quality of organisations that charge similar levels for tours.
