Two-city break in Germany and Poland

A most enjoyable & well-organised holiday

Festiniog Travel were well-organised in regard to hotels and travelling arrangements, clear in what they offered and what we could expect from them on the holiday, provdided a knowledgeable leader and offered what those touring with them considered to be an excellent holiday at a reasonable price which did exactly what it said in their brochure

My only criticism is that the tour leader who was absolutely spot on with trains could have been better in his knowledge of 'post buses'.

First Class - thoroughly enjoyable

A full mix of train travel and sightseeing, with perhaps more emphasis on the latter than the former. But all very smooth with the occasional hiccups (generally related to DB problems) well handled by our Guide. Its hard to beat the combination of train travel, magnificent scenery, good hotels only a few minutes walk from the station, and good eating at acceptable cost (despite the devaluation of the £!.

A brilliantly organised four day visit to the Edinburgh Festival

Thanks to Ffestiniog Travel folk, my wife and I have just returned from one of the best four-day trips we can remember, visiting Edinburgh for the last few days of the Festival. Rail travel, including an overnight sleeper from London, and our stay at the Balmoral Hotel could not have been better planned. Tickets, travel documents and even a personalised itinerary were all impeccably provided.

Fantastic service from initial enquiry through to booking, payment and travel experience.

We have recently returned from a very enjoyable 2 week trip to Italy. We booked train travel from the UK to Florence and Rome and had a one night stay in Lyon, France on the outbound journey and a night in Nice, France on the return journey to the UK. I wouldn't hesitate in using Ffestiniog travel again and would recommend their services to anyone.

Ruth at Ffestiniog travel, was a pleasure to deal with and spent time preparing several itineraries until we went ahead with one which met our specific requirements. Communication was excellent throughout and she was friendly and knowledgeable on the phone and via email. The tickets arrived in plenty of time and the travel itinery was very detailed and useful. The train travel went smoothly thanks to Ruth's careful planning and the accommodation booked in Lyon and Nice were both very convenient for the train station and were of a good quality.
