)upon arrival the transfer to the first Hotel took so long we had between 2 to 3 hours sleep (if you were lucky) before a 13 hour bus ride.As a single male I was asked to share with another lone male in a room with one double bed. Whilst sharing a room was bad enough, sharing a tent became an ordeal. and I suffered severely from lack of sleep as a result. I did notice that there were 4 other trekkers all in single tents yet in spite of my complaints, mostly via the doctor Cath who was on our bus all the time, I wasn't offered the chance of a tent on my own to catch uo on lost sleep. This was my 8th trek, so I am used to putting up with things and putting on a brave face, but this trek tested my patience to the limit and will make me think twice about ever taking on another trek. I hate writing such a negative story when there was so much that was great about Madagascar, ie the people the guides the porters the scenery etc.But because of the constant lack of sleep and the effects it had on my energy levels and my health I didn't manage the trek to the summit of Pic Boby and will forever be disappointed.I realise how much Dave & Cath had on their plate with the water situation and hotel standards etc so my problems were probably small compared with what they were dealing with behind the scenes. I have nothing but praise for the way they dealt with the situations that were thrown at them and they make a very professional team togeather.I feel somewhat mislead when I signed up for this trek as I didn't realise so much time would be spent travelling in Buses or 4x4 trucks (up to 13 hours at a time) and so little time was spent trekking. The duration of this trek needs to be extended to allow for the time spent on the road. The hotel accomadation whilst it improved as we went along, the allocation of rooms needs to be made more fairly.

Good information at the airport. Transfers all went smoothly. Some improvements required in getting around Madagascar need to be made as 13 hours in a bus is far too long.The standard of the Hotels needs to be looked at as well as the number of single rooms available. The three days spent trekking in this country is not good value for money especially for those of us that were self funded on this trip.

Discover Adventure arranged everything and it went seamlessly. They gave us all the best chance of completing our challenge and the whole group got to the top. The leaders and guides were best in their field and we felt in very safe hands.

Fantastic 4 days riding across Italy. Very well organised by DA and their team. Wonderful sights along the way. Dreadful roads. Terrible drivers. Hotels were ok but rather soulless and dated. Not great food. Especially b/fast. Glad I took my porridge pots!

Well organised. Good communication leading up to trip and throughout. But whole team seemed to be a little stressed by last day.

Very accommodating...handled all contingencies with efficiency and professionalism

A group of 10 people cycling under guidance by 2 DA representatives and with catering support and an overland truck (by Oasis Overland) cycled 210 miles in African countryside. This was a great way to get close to the country and its people. We saw spectacular scenery and wildlife. Crossing the border from Zambia to Zimbabwe was a bureaucratic nightmare with the bikes, but well worth it to experience views of Victoria Falls.

I have done several tours with Discover Adventure. The company seems to be very friendly and cares for its customers. They communicate promptly and personally. The employees seem to be happy.

Freedom Trail trek from France to Spain across the Pyrenees. Tough going at times but well worth the effort. Beautiful scenery and great accommodation along the way made it an unforgettable experience. DA organised it to perfection!

Discover Adventure put together a great trip from the itinerary to the execution. We had a great leader who supported us throughout and made us feel thoroughly looked after. All in all an amazing experience with a professional company.

I booked a weekend trekking challenge with Discover Adventure, not really knowing what it entailed; however, I was not disappointed. The Jurassic Coast trek was a great experience, well organised with amazing support staff. Prior to the trip starting, the communication from Discover Adventure was excellent, providing tips, training guides and a full kit list appropriate to the challenge. The base camp was excellent and of a high standard of facilities - so good that I am tempted to go back to camp with my family! For some reason, I had visions of a scout type camp set up with tents, a bucket and a campfire but actually, we had tents but instead of a bucket, there were hot showers, clean toilets and "The Parlour" for dinner and breakfast times (shame about the camp fire...) Everything was well thought through and nothing was a problem, everyone was catered for. The trek itself was challenging in terms of both the route and the terrain, as well as the weather. The guides made sure we were all given the support we needed to complete the challenge and we were provided with all the snacks and drinks that a challenge like this required. I am still not sure if I would undertake the trek again but I am still recovering; however, I would definitely book with Discover Adventure again.
