The kayacking trip exceeded my expectations . Our two guides were extremely professional fun friendly and organized and communicated every thing we were planned to do. In a way that made me feel secure . Donald Thomson was such a accomplished kayacker it was a priverlige to be in his "team" Tim Willis was confident and reassuring and brought so much fun to the group The accommodations at Heathbank guest house was great warm friendly comfortable and the breakfast was really good and especially the home made cakes we had for our packed lunches! All the evening meals out were brilliant offering lots of local, fare in the menu . Gluginn was the most beautiful spot and the restaurant offered a wonderful menu , The rooms/ cottages were spacious comfortable and well maintained and the added bonus of a drying room and hanging area was appreciated Donald and Tim carefully planned each day communicated everything to us each evening .everthing thing was very well organized and punctual and by the end of the week we were a well oiled team. The paddling was varied with some challenging parts which helped build on skills and experience but nothing that was beyond the groups capacity I felt very secure and safe in the guides hands and the mix of professionalism and humor made for the best trip ever. At first I thought the trip was a bit pricey but after experiencing the accommodation / food equipment and organizing and the input of the guides it was real value for money And of coarse in the most amazing backdrop of the west coast highlands of Scotland I would defiantly be looking at another trip soon and would recommend wilderness Scotland to anyone that enjoyed paddling One compliant was I had to go on a diet when I came home ...!

This was a hike we had been talking about for 2 years. After we settled on the West Highland Way Wilderness Scotland took it over from there. We really did not need to worry about much. The trail guides were clear, the maps and descriptions useful, the accommodations were all pretty good and some were great. The food at the B&B's was all good. There were more people on the Way than I had anticipated, but this made for good discussions in the evening with hikers from Canada, US, Australia,, Germany and many other spots sharing stories.

Wilderness Scotlan were greats. Everything they arranged came as advertised. All the B&B's were good, some great. The Tour material they provided was helpful and interesting. I would reccomend them without reservation

Dream came true!

I took a Wilderness Scotland trip to the Outer Hebrides.. I learned so much.. was challenged (happily) a lot. .. and grew to love every member of our group. I couldn't have asked for more.. indeed it was far more than what I did ask for.

Wilderness Scotland High Points of Torridon and Wester Ross - walking holiday

The guide was excellent enabling every one to walk these beautiful hills with confidence. The itinerary had been well researched and put together to enable the group to achieve their aims. The guide re scheduled and re worked routes with apparent ease to cater for poor weather and our abilities - not a day was wasted despite high wind and some rain. The lunch at a croft, boat trip, included hotel meal and scenic road routes all added to enjoyment ...

The lunch at a croft, boat trip, included hotel meal and scenic road routes all added to enjoyment and emphasised how much fore thought and organisation had gone into making this an excellent holiday.

Rating for tour operator:

The web page gave detailed information about all aspects of the holiday. When I had some queries they answered my telephone call promptly and considerately; responding quickly, accurately and very pleasantly. The itinerary had obviously been well researched and was well put together; the guide changed things only as necessary to accommodate the people making up the group and the weather.
