Independent four week tour of Rajahstan, Gujarat and Maharastra
All in all an amazing trip, the best of five visits to India.
All in all an amazing trip, the best of five visits to India.
Rating for tour operator:Transindus matched our requests very well for small hotels, train travel where practical to view monuments and wildlife. Guides were all of an excellent standard. Meet and greet was sometimes a bit more than needed.
Sloth Bears and Tigers too - could not be better!
Over a period of nearly 3 weeks visited 5 wildlife parks in Central India. Had some excellent accommodation and hospitality, but the highlights were the animal sightings during which we were fortunate to be accompanied by very good and communicative naturalists. Several lengthy and relatively close up Tiger sightings and a special highlight for us were the Sloth Bears in particular the one with a cub.

Rating for tour operator:This was our second trip to India with Transindus and right from the planning stage they exhibited a knowledge of our requirements and interests which combined with their in depth knowledge of India produced an tailor made itinerary which immediately suited, and the actual experience fully lived up to our expectations.
Sri Lanka - wonderful
We were four friends and had researched the holiday and hotels thoroughly so knew exactly what we wanted to do and see. Our driver/guide was very helpful and attentive. Hotels all lovely, especially Apa Villa Illuketia, an old colonial house with 4 bedrooms in a beautiful setting. Very peaceful which was brilliant for our last day. All in all a lovely holiday.

Rating for tour operator:We booked through Transindus. Our consultant, Sejal Gopujkar was extremely helpful and guided us through the initial enquiry and all our queries brilliantly. We would have no hesitation in recommending this company.
A journey through NE India in the Transindus protective bubble
Transindus tailored a holiday to the specific needs of my wife and I to seek out Colonial places of family history, be guided by local naturalists that have an expert knowledge of the birds and other wildlife, and to see some of the sights of NE India. Transindus tailored a holiday to the specific needs of my wife and I to seek out Colonial places of family history, be guided by local naturalists that have an expert knowledge of the birds and other wildlife, and to see some of the sights of NE India. The service, and what we were able to achieve in two weeks, massively exceeded our expectations. We had a skilful driver and knowledgeable guide wherever we went. They would pick us up from the airport, manage our itinerary, and deliver us back to the airport for the next part of our journey. We did a sightseeing tour of Kolkata, including a boat trip where we had a large cruise boat to ourselves and our guide, which took us around some of the colonial sights and concluded with a visit to my wife's great grandparents home in the early 1900s. Our guide, Ashanti, even managed to get us into the house to explore and take photos. In Dibrugarh we stayed at the Tea Estate where my wife's mother had been brought up till she returned to England in 1938, explored a number of other estates and our guide, Nava, even arranged for tea and a long chat with the Manager of one estate in his home (a colonial bungalow). In the Kaziranga National Park, our guide Palab and driver Pabalu were both exceptional bird watchers (we have no idea how they spotted some of the birds whilst on the move). We highly recommend the Jeep safaris and the early morning elephant ride. In Shillong, our local guide, Rocky, demonstrated once again the persistence of the Transindus guides in exceeding our expectations. He not only located the home of my wife's great grandparents (who moved from Kolkata) but got us invited in for tea in what is now the home of a minister. In Darjeeling we rode on the narrow gauge railway, bought some prayer flags from the Tibetan Refugee Centre and had them blessed by a Tibetan monk at the Ghum Monastary. The Windamere Hotel in Darjeeling was a real taste of colonial India, with high tea at 4pm till 6pm and coal fires in the bedrooms. Much of the time, Darjeeling is surrounded with mist, but on our last day we were blessed with a rare view of the valleys and the Himalayas. Overall this was a wonderful holiday and experience of life in India, but through the protective bubble provided by Transindus and their guides and drivers. We didn't dare tell them we weren't Royalty.
Rating for tour operator:Transindus provided an excellent service, from the initial planning through to the detailed attention to our needs by the guides.
India revisited
This was our sixth visit to India - a destination we love. We try to visit new places each time we go. TransIndus are exceptional at helping us decide on a meaningful itinerary.

Rating for tour operator:We have just come home from our sixth trip to India. These have all been organised by TransIndus. The time spent actually deciding on an itinerary was very detailed - they know us well by now and tailored it to our specific requirements. The ground agents they use are superb and we were taken care of all through the trip. The quality of the guides and drivers was exceptional.
Brilliant Introduction to India
We went on the Classic India tour in October 2014. Booked on Group Tour but we were the only ones booked on it. After a couple of e mails they allowed us the two of us to go ahead with it as planned. Everything went to plan, there was always a guide or rep to meet us. Hotels were lovely. Anand, our driver was excellent, always had wipes and sweets to hand. The car was very comfortable, sometimes a relief to get in it out of the heat. We ...

Rating for tour operator:Excellent, everything went smoothly and to plan as we wanted. Ananad, the driver was excellent and all the guides and reps. Highly recommended.
Our 3 country South East Asia tour was outstanding
we visited Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand on a 3 week holiday arranged by TransIndus. Everything was excellent - the planning, organisation, flights, hotels, guides, local transport, trips, etc. most memorable were the Killing Fields in Cambodia, learning and seeing more of the American/Vietnam war, and our day on the Mekong river, which will surely change in the next few years.

Superb tour of Myanmar including an excellent cruise, visits to all the important sites, off track visits to the wetlands for birds and a pre- arranged day with a world renowned bird expert. TransIndus were experts in matching our requests to our tour.

Classic Rajasthan 12 day holiday

Rating for tour operator:All the local representatives and guides from TransIndus were professional, interesting and well informed about the local history, customs, tradition and culture. We were never rushed and we could adjust our visits/timings to suit as we liked. a great advantage to being in a group We had discussed alternative hotels in agreeing our tailor made holiday and all the hotels in their different ways were excellent The total package for the holiday was good value for money
An exotic holiday to the south of India with lots of laughs and warmth, far exceeding our expectations
Every day was an adventure. A wonderful adventure. Our trip was planned to perfection by TransIndus. We were in great hands with our wonderful driver Mathew who was a terrific guide along the route from Chennai to Cochin. We loved the variety of hotels we stayed in and received a warm welcome at all of them. We were in great hands with our wonderful driver Mathew who was a terrific guide along the route from Chennai to Cochin. We loved the variety of hotels we stayed in and received a warm welcome at all of them. Some experiences that come to mind are: stopping for tea at a roadside cafe and learning how to cool it down, sampling delicious snacks prepared in front of us at an open fire in Chettinad, choosing live king prawns for dinner as we sail the backwaters of Kerala, viewing tea plantations and rice fields, experiencing amazing dance and music classes, and private cooking classes, front row seats on the boat in Periyar, a sunset cruise all to ourselves near the Chinese fishing nets of Cochin - we loved all of these new and wonderful experiences on our first trip to India. We loved the food, the Indian wine and beer, and most of all, the people we met.
Rating for tour operator:To say that we were impressed with TransIndus, is an understatement. We were very, very impressed. It was as if they were with us on this trip the whole way. One evening, during dinner outside on a terrace, the hotel owner passed us the phone and said there was a call for us. It was from TransIndus, asking us if everything was going well. They contacted us several times and each time, we told them how happy we were with our trip. But it was nice to know that had there been a hiccup then it would have been sorted out. We heard about TransIndus from a couple who had travelled with them three times. Their enthusiasm convinced us that this was the tour operator to choose. We had always wanted to visit India, but were never sure whom to trust with this important destination. We would recommend TransIndus highly and look forward to our next trip with them.
