Great Skiing in Trysil with Family

We enjoyed our holiday in Trysil - first time! Accommodations at Radisson Blu were great, food good, too. Plenty for the kids to do, too. The staff was welcoming and, despite very warm conditions at Christmas, the snow blowers were going strong and skiing was good.

The agent helped us decide on the best option for us and understood our goals. Felt that the tour company gave us ample support before the holiday and while we were there. We will be back. Thanks!

A great week at Trysil.

This was our second skiing holiday at Trysil with Ski-Norway. We stayed in the same hotel - Park Inn. This time we went at New Year and the snow conditions were not as good as the year before in February. However we had a great time. Our 3 kids had their own ski instructor who took them out each day from 9am - 12 noon. My husband and I had a ski guide from 9am to 11.45am. Our 3 kids had their own ski instructor who took them out each day from 9am - 12 noon. My husband and I had a ski guide from 9am to 11.45am. One of the best things about having the guide was going to the front of the queue at the lifts. You get a lot of runs this way! The hotel was excellent. We had a really large, quite luxurious apartment and did a mixture of self catering and hotel meals. The spa/pool facilities are included in the package and this is excellent as nothing beats bobbing around in an outdoor hot tub after skiing.

I think Ski Norway (Scandanavian Travel Ltd) is a good company for skiing in Norway. Telephone contact is easy. The staff seem to know what they're doing. They send reminders before you need to make a payment. On travel days it was easy to find the staff and on the mountain a rep was there every morning to ensure everyone was having a nice time. My daughter left her teddy in the bed when we checked out. The rep found it and posted it back to the UK at no charge.

First time in Norway. The resort and skiing at Trysil were unbelievable. I would love to go again. It was a super amazing holiday! Everyone should try a winter Norway holiday break.

Stress free, high quality, great value ski trip to Norway with SkiNorway

I travelled with my 6 year old boy to Trysil in Norway for his first ski holiday. We stayed at the Park Inn Mountain Resort which is located on the mountain. The location was recommended by SkiNorway as good for families. It was great. We had scheduled flights and a reasonable transfer. Our room was brilliant and located easily for ski hire, ski lockers, and ski school on the doorstep. The SkiNorway staff were very efficient and the ski school ...

Our room was brilliant and located easily for ski hire, ski lockers, and ski school on the doorstep. The SkiNorway staff were very efficient and the ski school was great fun for my son. The hotel was of a high standard with good facilities including an excellent pool, providing non-ski entertainment. The food was very good. All in all, it was an excellent holiday and we have rebooked for next year.

Rating for tour operator:

Great recommendation. Speedy and stress-free booking with a good personal service. Good resort staff made sure everything went smoothly. A pleasure to deal with.

Fabulous, friendly destination with excellent resort services

We travelled to Trysil in Norway for Xmas and the New Year. On recommendation for or needs, we stayed at the Park Inn Resort on the mountain which was superb. Excellent suite of rooms, well located, with excellent spa and resort services. Our Ski-Norway Rep was fantastic and couldn't do enough to make sure we were ok. Excellent ski bus service into town and around the resorts. Only slight down side was the weather! To Ski-Norway's credit they did everything they could to mitigate the lack of snow which did curtail some of our outings. But we were offered alternatives. We'd definitely return to Scandinavia.

Rating for tour operator:

Extremely professional and excellent service from planning through to completion. Very friendly and helpful with advice and contingency planning. In resort our Rep was wonderful and knew all the answers to our many and varied questions. Would definitely recommend Ski-Norway to anyone travelling to Scandinavia.

Perfect Arctic Circle Holiday!

1 week in Levi, Finland - so much more than just a ski holiday! Reindeer, husky drives, night time bobsleigh rides, Northern Lights, wonderful food, friendly people, cracking accommodation - and of course excellent skiing on perfectly manicured slopes.

A perfect first family ski holiday

The holiday itself was incredible and we would love to book again next year. We couldn't have asked for more for our first family ski holiday. The hotel we stayed (Mountain Resort, Trysil) ticked all the boxes and with Ski Norway we had complimentary use of the spa and pool which was a huge bonus after a day on the slopes. The holiday itself was incredible and we would love to book again next year. We couldn't have asked for more for our first family ski holiday. We chose half board as we'd heard that Norway can be quite expensive. The hotel we stayed (Mountain Resort, Trysil) ticked all the boxes and with Ski Norway we had complimentary use of the spa and pool which was a huge bonus after a day on the slopes. The kids loved it. The skiing itself was great, ski in/ski out with plenty of good runs and good variety and quite often we'd be the only ones on the pistes. The area itself covered quite an extensive range. I personally felt the better skiing was on the other side of the mountain which was easy to get to via lifts etc but the childrens ski classes were on the hotel side. Our daughter(aged 7) was one of three in her class so by the end of the week was really quite competent, so much so I was able to take her out for a few hours on some good long runs. Our sons (aged 3) class again was also a small group. He took a few days to get into it but eventually he did and that was it. Next year he'll be all over it. Their lessons started at the hotel so no travelling involved which I think is great. Transfer to and from the hotel were a breeze. Great information handed out by the reps. We really couldn't fault anything about the trip. The price was comparable to going to the Alps, possibly even cheaper. We had guaranteed snow and absolutely no queues for the lifts. Perfect!

Rating for tour operator:

From our initial enquiry, right through to our booking and completion of the holiday everything was handled by Karen Nolan with the utmost professionalism. Nothing was too much and time was taken to explain every part of the holiday and what we could expect. Brilliant service.

Fantastic

This was our third SkiLapland holiday to Finland, and our second to Levi. As before the travel arrangements were smooth, we had all we needed at the airport and there was someone waiting for us to take us to the hotel despite a delay with our flight change at Helsinki. When this happened, Matt Nolan at SkiLapland was proactive in contacting us and sorting out the change in flights and the new transfer. All good. We had also changed our ski hire arrangements relatively late on and then had forgotten to print off what we needed to show the ski hire company. However this was easily sorted out too. Hotel apartment great, no hidden charges. Great experience. We didn't take any excursions this year - we did in previous years and they were great with personal service from Matt to make sure everything happened when it was supposed to and even organising individual tours and suggesting different things to try. Cant speak highly enough of SkiLapland. We only buy a package holiday when we ski and have relatively high expectations that things will run smoothly and these are always met.

Rating for tour operator:

Really responsive and helpful from initial enquiry to support in resort. Proactive, thinks ahead (got a call to remind us of a couple of things in advance, was ahead of the game when our transfer flight had to be changed due to inbound flight delays etc). Brilliant wouldn't use anyone else and recommend them to our friends which is always risky!

There is a really good restaurant a short walk away 'Kultala' which served great home cooked food. All the shops and places, even taxis, take cards so cash is not essential if you struggle to find a cash point. We travelled with SkiLapland.co.uk who were faultless. We did the reindeer and husky rides along with ice go-karting and snowmobile safari at night. The Santa experience was a huge hit with the kids and very relaxing for the adults. All the excursions were so professionally run and there was just so much to do. Top marks to Matt at Ski Lapland who looked after us we want to come again and soon! Not been to Finland before we loved it!
