Amalfi Coast with On Foot by Britt Elin, 7 Jul 2015
Holiday Rating:

Beautiful Amalfi

I hiked alone along the Amalfi coast through stunning scenery and charming, little towns. The hikes were roughly 4-5 hours per day, and sometimes quite challenging. It was a perfect active holiday, and the resting days I had inbetween came to good use.

They organised everything and took good care of me. It was no problem doing the whole trip alone.

Full support from initial enquiry. On Foot Holidays provided first class documentation, had first hand knowledge of the walk, arranged accommodation in remote locations that was good quality and interesting to match the trip. Ground agent kept in touch throughout

Walking tour of the Amalfi Coast

I had read about this series of walks on a stunning coastline, and resolved to walk the "Pathway of the Gods" before getting too old! My husband wanted the scenery but not the walking, so On Foot sorted out accommodation which allowed us each to spend the day doing different things, and meet up in the evenings. My husband wanted the scenery but not the walking, so On Foot sorted out accommodation which allowed us each to spend the day doing different things, and meet up in the evenings. We were delighted with the hotels chosen, and very happy with the service at Amalfi, Positano and Sorrento. I also spent a night at an Agritourismo at St. Agata, which was a wonderful experience of staying at a working country farm, and enjoying meals from produce grown and cooked on site.

Rating for tour operator:

There were a few, but mainly Mary Pocock and Emma at On Foot, who coped with the demands of one walker and one non-walker, and who found ways for me to do the walking when some of the usual hotels were booked out (national holiday & long weekend). She gave me several options for starting and finishing at different points so I could still enjoy the same walks, and forwarded bus and ferry timetables so I could make a choice. This is also handy if the weather turns bad, and one suddenly has to change plans and find a bus.

Mallorca: Serra de Tramuntana by Balgonie, 30 Jun 2015

Energetic, interesting and very enjoyable.

We are a couple in our mid sixties who love walking and this walking holiday in Mallorca was one we had always wanted to do. The organising of hotels and transfers of luggage was all done by our excellent travel company. The information and maps of the walks were first class and we had no problems guiding ourselves in the mountains. The hotels were all gems, not too large, some quirky and all very comfortable.

On Foot Holidays were excellent from the moment we booked. Their attention to detail, their friendly but professional manner and their interest in their clients made us feel we were not just a number. They had a representative on the island who contacted us to ensure we had everything we required. They had thought of everything.

Superb walking in Rhine Gorge

A brilliant holiday spent in Rhine Gorge. Scenery, accomodation, activity, sight-seeing, food and wine to die for. Such an interesting and beautiful place to spend a holiday. Lots to see and do irrespective of how active you want to be. Walking the many beautiful paths or simply watching trains, cargo barges, cruise ships or taking a train or ferry up or down the river. The towns and villages are charming and the many delightful cafes and restaurants serve beautiful food and wine. The people are so friendly and area so clean that is definitely on our list for a return visit.

Still savoring our experience hiking the "Castles on the Rhine"

We spent a week hiking the "Castles on the Rhine", a walking tour designed by On Foot Holidays in early June. We enjoyed lovely weather, great trails and staying at a series of local hotels. The itinerary provided was clear, detailed and organized. We found this to be the ultimate walking holiday - setting out each morning after a good breakfast, incredible views, local food, well-marked trails, and baggage transfers that went off without a hitch...

We found this to be the ultimate walking holiday - setting out each morning after a good breakfast, incredible views, local food, well-marked trails, and baggage transfers that went off without a hitch. The castles were amazing, and approaching from the trail seemed so much scenic than riding a tour boat. We will definitely take another trip like this in the future.

Wonderful holiday with On Foot

We had a great time in the Sabine Hills. It's beautiful countryside with rolling hills and lovely views. We enjoyed our stays in small hilltop towns. Our local hosts were gracious and attentive.

Sublime Slovenia

This was an immaculately researched walking holiday in an area of agricultural time-warp where the fields and woods were ablaze with beautiful wildflowers and buzzing with life. The farms we stayed at were welcoming and comfortable and largely self-sufficient in delicious food and wines.

I can't praise On Foot Holidays highly enough for their friendly and exceptionally knowledgeable service, the back up of their walk notes and phone app meant they were with us every step of the way!

Brilliant family walking holiday in the Zigora region N Greece

Our first experience of a family walking holiday that exceeded all expectations of scenery, wildlife, food and hospitality. By two day detour we walked to the monasteries on Meteora (a world heritage site) and then home via Corfu. Each walk was carefully planned by On Foot Holiday in smallest detail in medium/ difficult terrain of 10 kms and ranging from 3-6 hrs challenging for middle aged legs but so rewarding by the end of the day.

Rating for tour operator:

On Foot Holidays provided an excellent service and more importantly detailed route instructions maps, guidebooks and further reading. The choice of hotels were excellent and thier local representatives more than anxious to help and ensure our stay with them was the very best experience.
