Reviews of Naturetrek

Fantastic experience of Peru and Ecuador
Naturetrek organised an itinerary for me for 2 months exploring Peru and Ecuador, including the Galapagos Islands. The trip was partly me joining an existing tour in Peru, and partly tailor-made on mainland Ecuador, plus a fortnight on a small cruise ship in the Galapagos Archipelago.

Naturetrek did a great job putting together a brilliant and varied itinerary in Peru and Ecuador, sampling the Amazonian rainforest, the Andean cloud-forest, Cusco + Macchu Piccu, and other Inca sites, plus in Ecuador the city of Cuenca, the vulcanoes Cotopaxi and Chimborazo, and the Galapagos Archipelago.

Birdwatching on two continents: Spain & Morocco
The holiday was guided by 2 very knowledgeable guides whose enthusiasm made the tour fun and enjoyable. Picnic lunches were also provided every day so all we had to worry about was to relax and enjoy the bird life. A fantastic relaxing 7 days where all your needs are catered for. Having lost my father this year and losing my enthusiasm for birding , this holiday and in particular the guides enthusiasm has re-lit my enjoyment of my love for birds.

Great sightings of Jaguars and other wildlife.
We stayed at Pouso Alegre, SouthWild Flotel, and SouthWild Pantonal Lodge. All were good, food was excellent with plenty of choice. The star sighting was a very accommodating mother jaguar and cub - but we had very good sightings of different jaguars each day on the river, and an exciting interaction on the last afternoon between a jaguar and a tapir. We also saw a giant anteater by spotlight. at Pouso Alegre. The birdlife was prolific at each of these venues., including Hyacinth Macaw and Jabiru Stork. We also had excellent views of other wildlife - Giant River Otters, Giant Anteater, Capybara, Tapir, Yacare Caiman and various kinds of monkey, foxes, deer and tortoise.

Naturetrek is a long-established and reliable tour operator specialising in wildlife holidays. I have travelled with Naturetrek twice previously before this trip and have always found them to be a reliable company.

Naturetrek Brazi Mammals
This was a fabulous holiday arranged by Naturetrek. We saw just about all the wildlife we were hoping for and it was really well organised.

Walking in the Pyrenees
A wonderful trip in the Pyrenees with superb wildlife and guiding..often to ourselves. Great food incl freshly prepared picnic lunch every day. A few quite demanding walks/ hikes but always worth it

Naturetrek have the best guides who are passionate about nature, but also understand how to manage a group.

Wonderful Iberian wildlife
In September we went on a two centre holiday with Naturetrek as part of a small group plus guides, visiting mountain regions in Calabria and Somiedo Natural Park in Spain. Thrilled to see Iberian wolves, chamois and other wildlife, all from a respectful distance with experienced local guides. Great food and accommodation too. Plus transport by ferry and road, so hopefully a bit better for the carbon footprint than flying.

Excellent trip with Naturetrek
I spent 5 days with Naturetrek on the Ardnamuchan peninsula in Scotland. The main focus were the red deer, but we were also on the look out for Pine Martin, Otter, Golden Eagle, White tailed Eagle, dipper and much much more. Steve and Paul who were our leaders were excellent with their knowledge of the local Flora and Fauna as well as being great fun and professional. Naturetrek were excellent from the moment I booked the holiday. All the information on my trip was sent to me almost instantly and when I did have a question to ask, it was answered straight away. The info they sent me was comprehensive but easy to understand.

Fascinating experience
I spent some time staying in lodges in the amazon rainforest, including boat journeys searching for wildlife which i thoroughly enjoyed, followed by couple of days in Cuzco before tackling the Inca trail. Macchu Picu was a fantastic experience.
