I booked a trip to Japan for my partners birthday. It was our first holiday together so I wanted it to be memorable. At the time I worked for a travel company that dealt a lot with InsideAsia tours so I decided to request a brochure and email them with some of the ideas I had for the trip. The company made sure we had everything we could ever need for the trip and also gave us an in depth info-pack which was incredibly useful and tailored to our experience. With the tour we were able to see multiple sides to Japan including the traditional, technological and pop culture. We already loved the country before visiting and love it even more. The culture has so mush depth and beauty that only visiting the country can appreciate it. I enjoyed it being an independent led trip as it gave us our own freedom to see everything in our own order. At times we had a couple of tour guides which at first we were apprehensive about, but now I could not be happier with the two ladies. They had a lot of knowledge about their respective cities and I felt like we could ask them anything and they'd have an answer for us. Our experience was that incredible that myself and my now fiance (thanks to the trip) are now considering immigrating there in the near future.

Our tour operator was amazing from day one. If I needed clarity on anything at all my consultant, Scott, would be back with me with in a matter of hours, even in when I was clearly in a blind panic (I've never travelled long haul before) he put my mind at ease every time. I feel like value for service I would have happily paid double.

We signed up for our Hyper-J-Pop tour early on. We had endless questions that our tour booker answered with grace and supreme professionalism. Dagny was, in every way, superb during the 9 months leading up to our tour. The brochure prepared for us included our private tour add one. It specified our routing in each step, with notices in both Japanese characters and English words so that we could, at any point, show a complete stranger, the characters for where we needed to go, and they could help us to get there. The detail provided was fabulous. During our tour we had a most wonderful tour leader, David. He was always thoughtful, caring, detail oriented, uber professional, smart, adaptive and speedy. We could not have had a better tour experience and we highly recommend these small group tours given by Inside Japan. Our private guides were equally as professional during our add on tours, again, answering all questions, making our visit smooth and wonderful. We even got to meet with a master samauri sword maker and engaged in the sword making processs with him! As a country, Japan is a must to visit in a lifetime. We were so impressed with the people and the respectful life that they lead. It was, altogether- a peak life experience for both of us.

I had an amazing time in Japan, the food was good, the scenery attractive, the people friendly and the cities really interesting places to explore.

Inside Japan were incredibly helpful, and their advice before the tour as well as the tour itself was fantastic. Our guide really did his best to make sure we all had a great time.

We spent 8 days train travelling around Japan, taking in Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Hakone and Tokyo. From making restaurant bookings at places we would never have found, to really fantastic logistic information, our self-guided tour made sure we just focused on having fun rather than checking train times or worrying about hotel bookings.

Claire our Japan expert, was really responsive, quick to take on board what we were interested in, and great at second guessing what we might not have known about but would really enjoy. Her suggestion of adding an extra day in Osaka turned out to be the best night of the trip.

Brilliant experience. A really interesting and extremely varied trip incorporating lots of well-known places and famous sites, but also visiting less well-known places in Japan. Good standard of accommodation, including both traditional Japanese ryokans and Western style hotels.

We had an amazing trip to Japan. The food was delicious, even the 7-11 food was good! The people were very kind and understanding. The sights were beautiful. We saw quite few castles/shrines and each were full of culture and history. We learned so much on our trip. I would love to go back and spend more time at each city we visited! From the historical views in Kyoto to the bright lights in Tokyo to the nightlife in Osaka to the delicious food in Nagoya, we were never bored. I would love to go to Japan again some day!

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the services provided by InsideJapan. The prices were affordable, the accommodations were great, the staff was very knowledgable and quick to answer any of my questions. I would definitely recommend them and I would definitely consider using them again.

We spent 9 days in Japan, mainly exploring and trekking in the northern island of Hokkaido, before taking the bullet train to Tokyo for a brief visit there. To optimise our time we had a guide for a day in Hokkaido and again in Tokyo - which was really worthwhile. We stayed in a mix of accommodation - a traditional ryokan and western hotels. Loved the ryokan and onsen. The food was fabulous. It was our first visit to Japan and we'd love to go back again.

Inside Japan was exceptional in all respects. They arranged our programme, hotels, transport, guides, but we were travelling alone in the country. Everything worked with smooth and faultless efficiency. Truly I couldn't fault any aspect - even if I wanted to! I thoroughly recommend the company. They are flexible in their planning and build the trip around your preferences, interests and budget. Outstanding customer service. We travel a fair bit, and I think this is the best company we have come across.

I went to Japan with InsideJapan for the second time. This time, I spent much of time time on Shikoku island, visiting more out of the way places then the standard Toyko, Kyoto, ect.

I had a wonderful time and the tour guide was excellent. On the ground, the guide took good care of the 10 of us in the group, and I don't think we every lost track of any member. We didn't have a single hiccup in travel, and the guide was very enjoyable to be around. On the organization side, the coordinator I worked with when scheduling the vacation was great to get talk to.

Recently completed a two week Independent tour of Japan with Inside Japan Tours. This was a very well organised holiday with an amazing itinerary planned by an excellent team of travel consultants. Despite some concerns regarding my travelling solo across Japan the whole trip from the start to the was an incredible experience.

Very efficient Company .. Attention to detail and level of support throughout the planning stage and for the duration of the holiday was very impressive..
