Wow what an amazing, unforgettable experience! We have never been anywhere in Africa before so it was very reassuring to have the expertise of Richard ensuring that everything was so organised as well as offering us great advice and answering all our questions. Everything about this holiday was perfect and Expert Africa deserve a lot of credit for that, selecting and recommending amazing accommodation. The website is also one of the best I have ever used- clean and clear layout, easy to navigate, whilst still being very informative with detailed reviews and information. I would without a doubt recommend Expert Africa to anyone thinking about booking a holiday to Africa.

A life long dream to drive around Namibia came true for my husband to celebrate his 70th. We've long loved Africa and always love a road trip - what a great partnership this was. We drove 3,000 km in three weeks - cruised down the Chobe, flew over the Okovanga and Victoria Falls. It was a real cornucopia of everything that is great about Africa - wonderful people - stunning locations and wildlife.

We normally travel independantly but opted this time to share the load with Expert Africa and boy am I glad we did! Namibia is a huge country with such a diversity of options - using Expert Africa helped me refine the trip to meet all our criteria. Its a real skill to sit in New Zealand (as the agent) talking to a client in Algarve and really get to understand what the client requires - well done Maruka!!

Expert Africa- the name says it all

A first time trip to Namibia, where we drove ourselves for over 2500km, and every stop felt like a different adventure.

From start to finish this holiday, organised completely by Expert Africa, was superb. Everything was just as we wanted it, if not better. They really are best in class for their in depth knowledge and personal insight, the quality of the supporting documents they provide and the detail of their website to help you plan in advance.

We had two different kind of safari experiences: a tented camp for 4 nights and a game lodge for 3. The quality of service, food and accommodation at both was high, and the game-viewing experiences we had were varied and so interesting. All of our party enjoyed the trip immensely.

Expert Africa listened carefully to our needs and suggestions for our holiday and then were able to design our perfect trip to meet those needs exactly. The arrangements were delivered perfectly. Yet again, we were very pleased with the service Expert Africa provided.

We stayed for three nights each at two Kicheche tented camps - in Laikipia (Ole Pejeta Conservancy) and the Valley Camp (Naboisa Conservancy) in that Masai Mara. We had sightings of the big 5 and many more fantastic animals and birds, with our expert guides Peter and Bernard, respectively. Both camps were well-appointed, the accommodation was very comfortable and the food was excellent. Prior to the safaris, we stayed at Hemmingways, Nairobi - a first class hotel - and afterwards at Sands at Charle Island on the Indian Ocean which was a good place to unwind.

We (my wife and I) had an incredible experience during this trip. Everything was first rate. We spent two days in Kenya at Lake Nakuru and 10 days in Tanzania at Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and surroundings, Olduvai Gorge, and the southern Serengeti. We saw everything that we hoped to see (captivating places, amazing plentiful wildlife and birds), stayed in wonderful lodges, gained insight into human evolution at the world-renowned Olduvai Gorge archeological site, learned an amazing amount of information about local culture, people, flora, and animal behavior, were very comfortable doing it, and most importantly, had lots of fun throughout. We are very grateful to Expert Africa, especially Maruska who helped us plan the trip, for making all of this possible. Each of the five lodges/camps in which we stayed were located in beautiful places, were incredibly comfortable, provided outstanding service, and had plentiful, excellent, healthy food (we never left a meal wanting for more). And the guides that accompanied us in every place were very personable, likable, and knowledgeable people from whom we learned much about the countries and local flora and fauna. Finally, the ancillary activities - a visit to a local Maasai village and a long walk from our lodge to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater - were interesting, informative, and fun, with the added benefit of providing exercise after long days of riding in safari vehicles.

This was our second trip organized by Expert Africa. The first was a short three-day outing in 2019 to Zanzibar planned as a side trip while we were in Kenya on a work trip. We chose Expert Africa to help us plan this longer two-week visit because we were so pleased with the quality of our trip to Zanzibar. Needless to say, we are even more impressed by Expert Africa after this trip. Everything was outstanding: the very helpful web site; the advice that we received from Maruska during our planning of the trip, including the pros and cons of selecting either Botswana or Tanzania as our destination; the materials that we received to help us plan the trip- alternative choices of places to visit and camps for lodging and detailed Expert Africa reviews of each of these lodges/camps, including a tally of the wildlife that previous guests had observed; very detailed and helpful annotated itineraries, information to help us navigate Covid-related health requirements; a helpful guide to travelling in Tanzania; and high quality vendors for all of the services provided. We particularly appreciated that Maruska provided alternatives for places to visit, things to do, and places to stay, always giving us the final choice. Maruska also was very easy to work with. We had numerous phone calls and email exchanges during the planning of the trip and she answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly. We hope that we will make further trips to East Africa in the next few years. We will definitely ask Expert Africa to help us plan any future trip whenever we are ready to do so. We also would like to express our deep appreciation for the invaluable, outstanding assistance that Maruska Adye-Rowe provided to us during the planning of this trip. The choices that she provided for places to visit and stay and things to do, always giving us the final choice, and the vendors she selected made our incredible experience possible. Two 4 day safaris in two National Parks of Tanzania; our first in the green season. We thoroughly enjoyed these safaris, especially Ikuka Camp in Ruaha NP which was simply brilliant. It was lovely to see everything green, growing and quite a contrast from the dry season landscape

Very professional, helpful and knowledgeable; nothing is too much trouble for them. This is already our third time of using them which I think just about says it all!
