Veloso asked us what we wanted and adapted one of their tours for us. We chose the hotels we wanted from the options and recommendations they gave us. Out transfers were all on time or early and with super friendly and knowledgeable guides.

Veloso and Lost Toad

We arrived in Lima, we had an incredible half day of visiting a church and museum .Next day then flew to Arequipa and had a guide around the incredible St Catalina convent and around the town .We thwn were collected next day by a bus combined group and travelled across the plains to the highest location to see the volcanoes. We went to colcha valley and experienced thw hot springs.thwn we saw the condors flying in the colcha valley..an incredible sight . From here we drove and went to Lake Titicaca .lovely hotel and next day our guide took us to the lake and we took a boat to see the Urdos people and spent time with a family .next we went to the island of Tequila .So interesting learning if such an ancient group of people and their culture .next day we set off on the 10hr Peruvian train across the Andes to Cusco . An amazing service ,food ,band and viwing platform . Incredible scenery .in Cusco we had a day to visit local Ollytambo and other amazing places like the salt pans . Next day we were collected and set off on the Inkka trail with the porters, cook and guide . It was 4 days walking and 3 nights under canvas. The qlak is tough due to the altitude and incredible steepness .long days of walking but amazing scenery and seeing ancient ruins on the way,ending in the arrival at Macchu Picchu. From here we took the train back to Cusco . The final day in Cusco was looking around the town .next day we flew to lima and the the airport in the amazon jungle .We stayed in an incredible lodge with the scientists and were taken out to do mammal checks ,river rides ,seeing the Macaws on the Salt licks ,a lake and night walks .we joined the science program with moth trapping .Each evening there were lectures from the scientists on their current research . After 4 days we thwn flew back to lima and then home to the uk .

We did video call planning meetings so the operator could get a feel.of what we wanted and after a first draft and quote we asked for some changes which they happily made and so made the trip affordable for us without compromising the experiences .we were able to asked questions and had thwm answered or the information found out later and told us . They clearly understood the country and made every effort to tailor the trip for us .

We enjoyed the holiday variety, initially stopping in Madrid On route to Lima. We found the organisation very good and the tour guides excellent.

The trip was organised by Veloso using ground agents Pure Peru. We found the whole trip enjoyable and the route chosen enabled us to acclimatise to the high altitude in a controlled manner.

Veloso Tours were exceptional - providing lots of guidance in the booking and selection of options to make a complex itinerary possible. The knowledge of the destinations and expertise was invaluable in planning a ‘once in a lifetime’ trip. The execution of the holiday was perfectly done with local operators and guides making the holiday work smoothly and stress free in spite of a lot of travel. The local guides brought each location to life providing great insight. I would recommend them 100%.

It was on our bucket list to go to Galapagos and Veloso came up with a suggestion we could "front end" our holiday with and adventure to the Napo Wildlife lodge in the Amazon rain forest (a canoe journey of 3 hours), followed by a trip to the avenue of Volcanoes (that was really special) and finishing with a cruise on a 16 berth Beluga around the Galapagos, which was very special

They offer bespoke and small group packages to South America and recently much more; we have trusted our holidays with them for many years and they have always delivered

Wonderful selection of varied sights and activities in different Indonesian locations. The guides and drivers were superb and really helped us understand the local cultures, the hotels were first class with excellent rooms and service. A varied itinerary showed us not only temples, batiks and wood carvings but actually arranged a blessing at a temple, batik and woodcarving lessons so we returned with our own souvenirs! The private boat charter with crew and guide around the Komodo islands was the icing on a wonderful cake!

From the initial planning, and draft itinerary, through to final documentation the staff at the operator Veloso were helpful, well informed and took on board our minor requests and suggestions. This is the third holiday we have used them for and will keep coming back whenever we are travelling to a destination they cover.

Helpful, asccessible, flexible. And charming

We appreciated a country which was trying to do something for climate change. We travelled to the rainforest of Tortugero, the volcano region of Arenal , the national parks and the pacific coast near Isilita.

Our tour operator, Veloso Tours, organised our itinerary, our travel to and from hotels and airport and booked hotels and excursions for us.
