We completed the Cleveland Way in August this year. What a fantastic walk of two distinct halves with the 1st week up on the North Yorkshire Moors with views over the Vale of Mowbray towards the Pennines and 2nd week down the east coast to Filey with the North Sea and many quaint coastal villages along the way.

Yet again the team at Mickledore put together a brilliant package. We had the usual professional service from start to finish. Our accommodation, luggage transfers, packed lunches and taxi transfers went without a hitch. Only one problem, where next!!!

We had a great holiday walking the Cleveland Way early in August. We went for the challenging 10 night / 9 day version and I have to admit that we did make one or two alterations to the route. The accommodation was good, especially considering that in some villages the choice was somewhat limited, with the b and bs in Robin Hood’s Bay and Scarborough being real stand-outs. We were pretty fortunate with the weather, though we did encounter some strong winds and (only once) torrential rain. The good people of Yorkshire were very welcoming and often offered to point out the correct direction before we had asked them. We have some great memories and some funny stories to tell.

Everything was very well organised by Mickledore Travel, who were very quick to respond to requests for clarification and who provided ample documentation. We hope to be able to do another holiday with Mickledore Travel in the very near future.

We just returned from doing the Cleveland Way and are so appreciative of all that Mickledore did to make this a fabulous walking trip! From the prompt emails to the excellent accommodations to the helpful advice - this is a wonderful company, and one we'll book with again!

Everything about the holiday went according to plan including the weather! The Cleveland Way and Best of Hadrian's wall were well marked and easy to navigate. The scenery was so beautiful, especially the Cleveland Way and there was so much to see - everyday we experienced a variety of landscapes and outstanding views!. Hadrian's wall was intact for a good portion of our way! Our accommodations were excellent including the food. The accommodations provided a welcoming resting stop at the end of our day. Our luggage was always there waiting for us to arrive. Breakfasts provided anything we would need. The Host was always welcoming and helpful. Taxis services, when needed were well planned. I want to go on another walking trip with Mickledore. We were so proud of walking the entire Cleveland Way. Our first long distance walk - we had never completed those distances before this walk. Thank you to Mickledore for making that happen!

We were so glad we used Mickledore for our first walking holiday! Mickledore staff helped us with all of our planning questions and logistics. They always responded promptly to our questions. This summer we traveled to the United Kingdom from the States for our third Mickeldore Walking Holiday. After our wonderful experiences on Hadrian’s Wall and the Great Glen Way walks, we chose the Combined Highlights of the Cleveland Way for hill, moorland and coastal hiking. We were not disappointed. The views were amazing ….. well-earned rewards for the vigorous climbs along the Cleveland Hills and coastal paths.
