Ribera Sacra with On Foot
My husband and I walked through a quiet part of Galicia. The countryside is diverse and at times demanding. Overall, it was joyful to walk through time, learning of the many people and cultures that have shapes the area.

Rating for tour operator:They know their clients and offer excellent support without feeling "handled". The walking notes are excellent.
Wonderful walking in gorges and vineyards in Ribeira Sacra
Everything about this holiday was first rate-the scenery of spectacular gorges and woodland paths and vineyards in an unspoiled region, varied accommodation in interesting hotels including a Parador in a converted monastery and a winery and well organised arrangements

Rating for tour operator:We have now traveled with On Foot on eight occasions and have enjoyed every holiday. The service is very efficient but also personal and the holidays are all off the beaten track in beautiful walking country with well picked accommodation.
The Ribeira Sacra was truly a hidden secret and we were so glad we found it.
The walking was varied and delightful, The small hotels were perfectly chosen, all very different and all the better for that. The undoubted highlight was staying at Turbisquedo. An extraordinary house with a fascinating history, brought to life by Bill, its entertaining owner. And his partner made the best supper and packed lunch. A real treat.

Rating for tour operator:We have been on several walking holidays with On Foot. They have always provided excellent note, maps and information. They have a great ability to chose really interesting, unusual places to stay with welcoming hosts. Their local contacts have always been charming and helpful.
Wonderful walking in the Ribeiro Sacra region
7 nights in varied, comfortable accommodation in Galicia, Northern Spain, with 5 days walking. With walking routes through vineyards, sweet chestnut tree woodland, along river banks, over heathland, with spectacular views of the Sil Canyon. This holiday gave us amazing views and experiences of an area of Spain that we had not been to before. Backed up with clear route instructions, maps, GPS, written information and a local On Foot contact...

Rating for tour operator:Very personable and helpful. Our original destination was not feasible and the staff at On Foot suggested this holiday. It was tailored around our schedules and adapted based on local constraints ( music festival limiting the availability of the usual first night stay). Prior to the holiday we received detailed walking instructions and maps, advice on the use of GPS and apps. Information about the area and a tailored itinerary booklet. There was a local contact in Spain, who provided helpful and responsive advice when needed. There were no hitches with the hotel bookings, arranged taxis and the other arrangements within the holiday itinerary. We were very impressed with the professional and friendly approach of the On Foot staff.
