On foot holidays were a delight to work with, prompt in replying to any emails and accommodating when oneof our party dropped out. The accommodation they booked was first class, the walking notes and app excellent (we didn't get lost or confused). Their person on the ground couldn't have been better, always answering our whatsapps promptly, arranging taxis where necessary, and thinking ahead for us in terms of booking places to eat.

Ribeira Sacra hike - 9 days

We were first time organised hikers from Australia who decided that a nine day walk in Northern Spain would be our next adventure. What an amazing experience it was. Rain nearly every day, only meeting four other hikers along the route, not speaking the language but making some cherished memories along the way. We challenged ourselves and felt proud of our achievements.

On Foot were just the right balance of professional, yet friendly and personable from the very first email. Their communication was excellent and we always felt supported along the way.

Wonderful walking in the Riberia Sacra

We loved pretty much everything about this holiday. On Foot provided an excellent service through the booking process and their guide, Aznar, could not have been more helpful. The walking itself was wonderful - peaceful days walking through gorgeous river gorges, vineyards, lovely chestnut and oak woods and atmospheric villages. We hardly saw another walker all week. For the most part the only sound was birdsong and we managed to identify almost forty different birds! The wild flowers everywhere only added to the experience. We stayed in lovely accommodation each night and were sorry to have to end the trip!

A stunning walk acr.oss the Ribeira Sacra

Its an unknown gem of a walk.

Onfoot are just superb. There's no better Operator to walk with in Europe. They provide a tailored service, unique walks and really special accommodations that you just don't get anywhere else. We've walked with them over the last few years, and you don't need to ask if we'd recommend them, as we do it all the time and sime of our friends are already enjoying their walks. Weve tried other operators for routes onfoot dont do, and the just don't meet the same standards. The team are kind, considerate and attentive. We can't recommend them enough.

We never want to travel without On Foot Holidays

We have booked multiple trips throughout Italy and Spain with On Foot Holidays and continue to be thankful for their impeccable organization, helpful staff, and wonderfully curated trips! This particular trip was our first time booking two separate walking holidays back-to-back and everything went quite well! Both were in Galicia, Spain; the first being a coastal walk along the Lighthouse Way and the second being an inland walk in Ribeira Sacra.

On Foot Holidays' (OFH) local operator in northern Spain was Aznar Fernando Pinedo. He was very knowledgeable and helpful in coordinating a few short cuts we required, as well as assisting through a disconnect we had with one of the accommodations along the way. We would certainly recommend him and in fact plan to return to the Basque Pyrenees with OFH this year and are happy he will be our local operator again.

An authentic walk through rural, Northern Spain

We had a great hike through the Ribeira Sacra. Visiting small towns and walking rural paths was an opportunity to experience a level of authenticity often difficult to achieve in European travel. While the route was extremely scenic, we found the towns, villages, and even Ourense to be very "regular" in the sense that they were not fabrications for tourists, but rather real places with real people. Rating for tour operator:

On Foot Holidays provided flawless logistical arrangements - our trip was without even a single minor hiccup. Evey accommodation was well chosen and every other recommendation was spot on. The route directions were very detailed and accompanied by a very effective .GPX file of the route. Each day's hike was challenging but achievable and filled with great views and scenes throughout. I don't think we could have chosen better accommodations ourselves.

Ribera Sacra with On Foot

My husband and I walked through a quiet part of Galicia. The countryside is diverse and at times demanding. Overall, it was joyful to walk through time, learning of the many people and cultures that have shapes the area.
