Mountain to the sea walking holiday

We have been on several holidays with OnFoot but this year we did their Alpes Maritime walk. We went in July and the weather was a bit too hot for us but it is marked in the brochure as not being the ideal time. The service from the office is wonderful. The staff know the holidays and the personal care they give including a phone call the day before departure and a phone call on the first day of the holiday from the local rep makes you feel ...

We went in July and the weather was a bit too hot for us but it is marked in the brochure as not being the ideal time. The service from the office is wonderful. The staff know the holidays and the personal care they give including a phone call the day before departure and a phone call on the first day of the holiday from the local rep makes you feel very cared for. The walking notes are accurate and beautifully presented in daily packs. The hotels are always interesting and give an insight into local life which would be very difficult to find independently. They vary in standard - from the one star in La Brigue where we really enjoyed being part of the local village to the very comfortable 4 star hotel in Menton.

Rating for tour operator:

Very caring and, even more importantly, very knowledgeable. I feel I have met them all and really appreciate the individual care and attention we receive.

Another amazing walking holiday from OnFoot

This was our fourth walk with OnFoot and like the others, we were impressed with the prefect organisation, changing landscapes each walking day, and unique accommodations. We went at quite a hot time of year but on the plus side that meant we had warm seas to swim in, minimal people around us, and a dry but beautiful landscape. We went at quite a hot time of year but on the plus side that meant we had warm seas to swim in, minimal people around us, and a dry but beautiful landscape. Highlights for us - our friendly driver Kumar, Emin Pansyion (food and service were both outstanding), eating local produce, soaring mountain/sea/cliff views, starting our walk high up in the mountains, the walk to Adrasan and then drinking beers at some of the restaurants perched over the river, lazing at Sundance... Thanks again for a great trip.

The London OnFoot team were always available to take our calls or emails whilst we were away. Their Turkish partners were equally as friendly and caring - consistently punctual, friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

Fantastic walking holiday in Northern Portugal

Back from our Portuguese adventure and we had a great time. Amazing scenery, challenging walking, friendly people, and fantastic local food! ON FOOT organisation was fantastic and everything went really smoothly.

Independent walking tour of the Priorat region

The walk took us from the Cisterican monastery of Poblet through the mountains of Prades and into the heart of the Priorat wine region. We stayed in small hotels, guesthouses and a rural Mas (farmhouse) with ecologically minded owners. We stayed in small hotels, guesthouses and a rural Mas (farmhouse) with ecologically minded owners. We loved the region and the variety of scenery on our walk, as well as the genuinely friendly and hospitable locals along the way. The walk was challenging enough to feel worthwhile without being overwhelming or exhausting and there were often options for shortening the day if desired. We enjoyed varied Catalan cuisine along the way.

I had not used On Foot before and from start to finish I was impressed by the level of service. Debbie was very friendly when I rang to discuss the trip with her and she was helpful about arranging a change to the transport at the end. The package of maps, walking notes and information about the region was excellent; I have done similar walks with other companies and these were easily the best. Debbie rang before we left to check we had everything we needed and Joanna, who had written the notes, was available to us locally if needed. Our bags were moved on each day and everything went smoothly. I would certainly recommend this as an excellent holiday.

The folks at On Foot Holidays couldn't have been nicer, more patient with questions, or more helpful. They arranged for all our lodging (including our extra nights in Rome), had our luggage transported, and gave us a wealth of information, including detailed directions to keep us on the right path. They responded immediately to emails, called us to talk over details, and passed our requests along to the hotel staff. Every phase of the trip went unbelievably smoothly. We couldn't have been more pleased and are already talking about where we want to go next with On Foot.

We walked from Motovun to Moscenicka Draga, with our luggage being transferred between accommodation booked by our operator. We walked on our own through gorgeous scenery, following directions provided.

The staff at On foot holidays was were excellent in working with me via email to plan and customize our trip. They were quite helpful in their suggestions and recommendations. The packet of information sent well in advance was thorough and the narrative and maps were excellent. It was just the two of us, and we were well prepared.
