Borneo wildlife spectacular
Fascinating insight into the natural world of Borneo. Mammals, birdlife, insects ,reptiles and amphibians not to mention plant life and an understanding of the tensions between industrial progress and protecting the natural world.

Rating for tour operator:Excellent throughout. Most importantly the provision of a wildlife guide of quality who was able to bring the trip to life for us.
African Adventure
We have just returned from a 17-day wildlife holiday with Naturetrek visiting Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. Accommodation was mostly in rural lodges with the sound of Africa all around us, plus restaurants and usually a small swimming pool to relax by in the afternoons. Accommodation was mostly in rural lodges with the sound of Africa all around us, plus restaurants and usually a small swimming pool to relax by in the afternoons. There was only 9 of us on the tour and we were all keen wildlife watchers and became firm friends by the end of the holiday and are all planning our next adventure with Naturetrek.
Rating for tour operator:Well organised and good value considering what was included.
Baja California & Sea of Cortez
The holiday exceeded my expectations. The information describing the trip was excellent and reflected exactly what we experienced. The mode of travel was a wonderful for this type of adventure to maximise our opportunities of siting prolific wildlife. I can thoroughly recommend this.

the Forest of Dean
An excellent weekend experiencing the wildlife of this ancient forest, in the company of a small group of like-minded enthusiasts, and with knowledgeable, helpful leaders.

Rating for tour operator:Naturetrek organises a wide range of holidays for wildlife enthusiasts all over the world. We have travelled with Naturetrek on many occasions and always found their tours to be well organised, good value for money, and led by experts with good knowledge of the appropriate fauna, flora and location.
Iceland spectacular
Visited Iceland with Naturtrek. Looking for the Northern Lights and whales. We saw the lights twice thanks to our guide amd was really lucky to see killer whales. We also saw various other wildlife including White tailed eagles, snow buntings, to name but a few. Our hotels were lovely and the people were very welcoming. Flights were with Iceland air, which was Ok apart from having to buy something to eat.

An extremely interesting tour
The tour was well organised with excellent hotels and cuisine and we were very successful in seeing the monarch butterfly migration, almost unbelievable, wonderful birdlife and two very interesting whale watching trips.

Rating for tour operator:Dave was an excellent organiser and expert bird man, I believe he had the younger members out of bed at 6am each morning for birding!
Iceland and Naturetrek: perfect combination
Four nights in Iceland has only whetted my appetite for more! The winter scenery was magnificent, the wildlife we saw, though sparse, was stunning and the organisation of the trip was as good as any Naturetrek trip I've enjoyed. Everything was arranged to gIve the tour group the best possible opportunities to experience the Northern Lights and Gyrfalcons. Gyrfalcons were plentiful - the Aurora not so much! Everything was arranged to gIve the tour group the best possible opportunities to experience the Northern Lights and Gyrfalcons. Gyrfalcons were plentiful - the Aurora not so much! A brief glimpse on one night was all we got, but being outside in the middle of the night under a sky so full of stars it felt as if we could reach up and touch them - what an experience!
Rating for tour operator:This was my fourth tour with Naturetrek, my previous trips all being to Africa. Iceland was obviously going to be very different but the sheer professionalism of the day-by-day organisation was up to Naturetrek's usual impeccably high standards. EVERYTHING was pre-arranged so all I had to do was be in the right place at the right time. Within the structure of each day were meal breaks, comfort stops, opportunities for photography and walking and all of it carefully timetabled to make sure we kept on schedule but without being rushed. Our guide was affable, knowledgeable and very obviously aware of our wishes and requirements. Our safety was also obviously of the utmost importance to him and his skill at coping with icy roads and drifting snow meant we could relax and just enjoy the scenery. I would definitely recommend Naturetrek yet again. First class.
Wildlife watching in the Forest of Dean
This was a short braek based at Speeches Hotel. Our targets were to see Wild boar, hawfinch and goshawk. All species were seen, with excellent views of the Wild Boar and the Hawfinch. Our leader and co-leader worked very hard and with great skill. The hotel was well located and the accomodation was good with very good food and facilities.

Rating for tour operator:Naturetrek gave me all the information i needed before the trip and have been quick to find out my views afterwards asking for feedback, but also sharing photographs of the species seen. I think the holiday was good value for money.
THE TRIP OF A LIFETIME
My husband and I love nature, and to be able to go on this Naturtrek holiday to Mexico was a dream come true. My husband loves butterflies so we were in awe of the annual migration of Monarch butterflies. To see humpback whales has always been on my bucket list, and our boat trips out fulfilled all my dreams. I can now die happy. To see humpback whales has always been on my bucket list, and our boat trips out fulfilled all my dreams. I can now die happy. These two were the highlights of our holiday, but interspersed with these there was ample opportunities to appreciate the huge variety of birds, a trip into the mangroves to see crocodiles etc. It is a holiday neither of us will forget.
Rating for tour operator:Naturtrek provides the traveller with the most amazing experiences. The tour guides, hotels and hotel settings were second to none. The travel arrangements were excellent. All information on the trip was forwarded well in advance of departure giving details of what to pack and what vaccinations to have. They provided the most amazing guide in Mexico who couldn't do enough to make our holiday memorable. Naturtrek's guide, David, was also on hand to assist where necessary. My husband and I would not hesitate in recommending Naturtrek, and we have every intention of travelling with the company again.
culture and birds what a combination!
New experience of going on Eurostar, very easy. A good time in Bruges learning about the history and seeing wonderful architecture. Fantastic varied birding spots including penduline tit, middle spotted a black woodpecker. A lifer, nutcracker. Two very knowledgeable guides who could instruct on bird song and call and being able to hear hawfinch on a daily basis, and getting to grips with short-toed and common treecreeper. A great recipe for ...
