A really lovely week's walking

We booked the whole Hadrian's Wall walk, walking from West to East over 8 days, although we decided to skip the last day of walking through Newcastle and got the train home from Wylam. The organisation, information, maps and documentation were excellent throughout, and the holiday went without a hitch. This included getting safe gluten-free meals throughout the whole trip. Although I have lived within a short distance from the wall for my whole life, I have never seriously explored it. It's an experience I would recommend. We are already planning another trip next year.

Perfect organisation and very nice B&Bs in various styles. Wonderful walking area and lucky weather conditions

Perfect organisation by Mickledore. We liked the various styles of all the B&Bs. They all have made a good job! The South Downs are a real wonderful walking area and we could visit amazing old-times villages and pubs. We have been very lucky with the weather conditions.

The South Downs Way - July a stunning time of year to walk this trail

7 days of sunshine, 1 overcast. A great time to walk the trail - the chalkland flowers were stunning; plenty of varied butterflies kept us company and one bonus was to watch a corn bunting singing from the top of a hawthorn bush. Something we do not see at home. Excellent comfortable accommodation with good, tasty breakfasts. Efficient baggage transfers.

Worked like clockwork!

Every last detail was covered and the accommodation used was extremely high. We never worried about a thing over the whole of our eight days instead we could concentrate on what we came to do..walk Hadrian's wall

Superb Coast to Coast fundraising Hike for Marie Curie

We fundraise regularly to support Marie Curie and thought we would do another hike this year. We wanted to hike coast to coast following the Hadrian's Wall route, but we needed places to stay and local information, and so we booked our holiday through Mickledore Walking Holidays; they booked our overnight stays, provided local information in advance for evening meals and planned packed lunches and luggage transfers.

We hiked the Speyside Way for 7 days and more than 115 miles. It was awesome! Not only did we had luck with the weather, we met only nice and helping people. The landscape was very picturesque and we visited a lot of whisky distilleries.
