Good accomodation throughout. The route and guide book needs a bit of tweaking. Sent around the houses to lengthen the route at times. Covid spoilt the evening meal experience at times but that was expected. Poor weather at times but it is the English pennines!

I booked with a company for the first time, usually fix everything myself. Mickledore arranged all my accommodation and provided detailed written info and tips about everything relevant on the trail. In mostly-beautiful weather, I could concentrate on the walking, knowing that overnight bookings were taken care of. I also like that you don't pay a fixed amount which includes having your luggage transported; it's an optional extra. That suited me well -- I prefer to tote my own stuff.

Mickledore worked promptly to create the schedule with limited notice. Their choices were very good. When a minor issue arose about who would provide a taxi to take me back to the trail, I emailed Mickledore out of office hours and the company sorted the matter double-quick.

We spent 5 days walking St cuthberts way. The scenery was beautiful with variable countryside and views. lovely accommodation with friendly hosts and delicious food.

They organised our holiday to suit our requirements. This was undertaken quickly and efficiently with excellent communication throughout the whole process. It took all the stress out of organising a walking holiday

9 days walking the Cleveland Way - point to point with baggage transfer. Blessed with good weather and very friendly accommodation hosts.

All the arrangements worked perfectly. We had an issue on 2 days with delayed baggage but Mickledore soon had it sorted

We walked the Great Glen way in Scotland with support from Mickledore Travel. This long distance trail is 79 miles, which we walked in 7 days and it was the first time that I had attempted anything as taxing as this! The Great Glen trail is a very well marked and maintained track which crosses a variety of terrain, including low lying canal paths, Caledonian temperate rain forest and gorgeous views of Ben Nevis and Loch Ness from some of the higher elevations along the walk. On most days we walked for 11-13 miles with ascents of up to 450 metres in parts. The views were absolutely stunning!

We were delighted with the service we received from Mickledore Travel. They arranged all our accommodation; taxis to and from the trail where necessary and organised to transport our bags from one hotel/B&B to another. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodation that Mickledore arranged for us. We tend to find staying in the UK to be a very hit and miss experience in terms of good service and decent accommodation, but all of the properties on our tour were of a good standard, some were positively delightful! The hosts were universally warm, helpful and gave us scrumptious breakfasts and huge lunches! Bag transport worked perfectly and the whole trip went like clockwork! We were particularly impressed with the material that Mickledore provided to support us during our holiday - a map, detailed trail guide, discount for Cotswold Outdoors and list of cafes and restaurants to book for our evening meals - it was far more than we were expecting!

We walked the Dales Way from Ilkley to Bowness on Windemere over seven days. This was all arranged through Mickledore who booked all our overnight accommodation, provided luggage transit between accommodation sites and ensured we had packed lunches provided each day. Nothing let us down so we could concentrate on the walking and taking in the sites.

We have now used Mickledore on two occasions for our walking holidays. On both occasions every thing was meticulously and went to plan. Even the accommodation sites we stayed at were very positive about Mickledore.

It was great for our family to have some special time together. It wasn't too difficult and we all felt at ease with how organised everything was.

6 day walking holiday - St Cuthbert's Way

Most impressed with Mickledore who due to Covid agreed to convert our deposit for a long haul trip with their sister company to a staycation. Every tiny detail of our trip had been considered and arranged. Very noticeable was that all the B&B and hotel owners and taxi companies we were booked with enjoyed working with the company and had respect for its efficiency and maintenance of high standards

Hiking along the Cornish coastline was high on our list of dreams, and having already experienced a hiking organized by Mickledore, we knew they were good. It’s a year now since our Cornwall walk, and I can safely say it was our best choice ever for an early summer experience. The stunning scenery, wonderful hosts, and the many pleasant surprises we encountered along the way made for everlasting memories. When the world opens up again for travel to the UK, I will book another hike with Mickledore.

A lovely part of our beautiful island. We met some super people on the path and the locals were welcoming and helpful. Weather mixed.
