We had a fantastic time walking the Peddars Way and Norfolk Coast, 93 miles walked over 6 days staying in bed and breakfast accommodation along the route

The organisation from Mickledore was absolutely spot on and allowed us to enjoy our walking holiday, the accommodation was excellent and also the transportation of luggage. Communication was clear and information received was excellent

Finally managed to walk Lady Anne's Way after 3 previous cancellations (due to prior injury and COVID restrictions). Was well worth it in the end. Interesting, varied route through beautiful countyside, much of which is little visited. All arrangements and accomodation to the usual very high standard. Weather was on the damp side but at least the waterfalls were at their best!

This was my 6th walking holiday through Mickledore and have never been dissappointed. Communications and information supplied in the advance pack are always to the highest standard. Accomodation is varied and always in the range good to excellent. My preferred walking tour operator if they offer the route I want.

We walked the full length of Hadrian’s wall in 8 days. Mickledore planned and booked interesting and high quality accommodation (mostly B&Bs and pubs) along the route so we had a destination to aim for each day. We particularly enjoyed visiting historic sights along the way and the views from the wall were incredible at its highest points. We met many other friendly walkers along the way and enjoyed welcome pints and delicious meals in some of the quaint old breweries at the end of a days walk. An exhilarating experience. We would highly recommend this holiday.

Efficient, organised and kept us in the picture despite COVID regulations. Mickledore arranged for our bags to be transferred each day to the next accommodation and this was seamless.

Excellent pre-holiday information

Walked the coastal path. Two Misty days meant we didn’t see the Needles which was very disappointing. Otherwise a wonderful experience. Most of the Guest houses were lovely but one of them did not provide juice, cereals, yogurts or fruit for breakfast, only the cooked meal. Disappointing. Paula is Cowes was the best….she went out of her way and left lots of little treats like fruit and biscuits…plus olives and crisps when we had gin and tonics in her garden. A star!

It’s very annoying that we went with a friend and rather than communicate with both of us all correspondence was through our friend and we were told we would have to pay extra for our own pack etc. As we were saving Mickledore a lot of time and trouble booking three of us at the same time this was irritating.

Very Friendly and have real attention to detail

The holiday was delayed by twelve months due to the COVID-19 restrictions but it was well worth the wait. I walked the Rob Roy Way starting in Drymen and ending in Pitlochry. I stopped in some lovely B&Bs along the way. The walk follows forest tracks, farm tracks, old military roads and cycle track 7 to get from A 2 B and you see parts of Scotland that are only accessible by foot.

I have used Mickledore many times now for my walking holidays and they have never let me down. From the first phone call to the start of the holiday i was kept informed as to what was happening due to Covid-19 and how it was effecting my holiday.

My partner and I took 8 daya, 9 nights to walk tbus beautiful, peaceful, unspoilt part of tbe UK in June 2021. Mickledore took tbe hassle out of looking for accommodation. We stayed mainly in B &Bs with a couple of pu s too. All were very good. So.e of the hosts were so knowledgeable and interesting. All our route was planned for us, we were able to say how many miles we wanted to walk so it was sorted for us. Our holiday pack contained so much useful information. We felt very safe, looked after and confident that should anything happen Mickledore would be at end of phone.

Good communication s throughout from enquiry to booking. Indeed one of our b and b hosts fell ill duddenly, but with no hassle Mickledore sorted everything and we had replacement accommodation/transfers.
