We were blessed with fair weather for all but one day of the Cotswold Way., and the places we stayed were comfortable, welcoming, and well located. Breakfasts were all ample, and the need to find our own packed lunches some of the time, as well as most dinners, was not a problem. A special mention is deserved for the food at The Old Fleece in Stroud, and if you haven't tried Thatcher's Gold Cider on draugtht, do! The walk itself is often quite vertical, both down and up, in all of its sections, most of them accordingly scenic, so be prepared with good hiking boots (we also had sticks), and a fair amount of patience.

All interactions with Mickledore have been pleasant, and we had no reason to fault their arrangements.

We walked the Dales Way, a beautiful long distance walk in The Yorkshire Dales

Mickledore took care of our accomodation and luggage transport. They provide an excellent and very helpful holiday pack. The booked B&B's were of very good quality. Mickledore is a very relieable partner, with great service. We booked several walkingholidays with them and we do hope to do so in the future.

We challenged ourselves to walk the 200 miles from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay. We saw beautiful mountains, hiked through amazing dales and tramped over miles of moorland. The camaraderie among fellow walkers was unforgettable and the generosity of local people along the the way was outstanding.

Mickledore are knowledgeable and reliable. They gave us excellent advice in setting up the holiday and were on hand throughout for any support we needed. Mickledore supplied excellent maps, walk notes and suggestions for evening meals in the pack.

We walked the Cotswold Way National Trail, north to south, starting in Chipping Camden and finishing in Bath. We covered the distance over eleven days and had two nights in Bath before heading back to London. We had two nights at the same B&B's at both Chipping Camden and Dursley, on those occasions we were provided taxi vouchers to return or be taken to the start or finish points for the day. Everything worked perfectly! (Even the weather!)

They had expertly prepared a travel package that included accommodations, luggage transfer, and taxi transfers where needed. All of it had been prepared ahead and the trip went perfectly. There was briefly some confusion with the luggage transfer company regarding the number of bags, but that was quickly resolved by Mickledore and we didn't miss a beat.

Excellent walking holiday with almost perfect weather. Walked the "best" part of the trail from Fife Bridge in North Queensferry to the Tay Bridge in Newport-on-Tay; a walk of approximately 89 miles over six days with a rest day thrown in at Crail. Very nice accommodations, uncrowded trails with great scenery & not too difficult as most of the walking is at sea level. Although probably not the most popular hike in Scotland we would highly recommend it (see Steve Marsh's "Walking the Fife Coastal Path" Parts I & II on YouTube for a great overview of the hike (note: he walked the entire path at a much more aggressive daily mileage, and he concluded as well that the hike should really only consist of the Bridge-to-bridge portion).

We have now completed the Fife Coastal Path, the Isle of Wight Coastal Trail and the West Highland Way with Mickledore and have never been disappointed. In September we will try to complete the Dingle Way in Ireland, again with the support of Mickedore. Remember, these are self-guided hikes. Mickledore will arrange for luggage transport and lodging at the end of your day, but you still need to walk, bike or take public transport from Point A to Point B. My wife and I are from Massachusetts in the US so it is nice to have a company you can rely on watching your back and guiding you from the time you arrive in London or Edinburgh to the walk's starting point and back again to an international airport.

Solo walker completed this part of national trail with baggage transfer. Fortunately weather was good and no significant problems encountered.

My husband and I walked from Ilkley to Bowness. Eight days of glorious walking through beautiful scenery. Peaceful and relaxing.

Mickledore set up our accommodation (excellent choices!) and our luggage transfers. The planning was smooth, and the execution was perfect.
