Walked the Cotswolds way, staying in B and B’s and having luggage transported. 102 miles in 8 walking days.

Mickledore is very responsive - both before and during the trip. This is the third trip we have done with them, and we have been completely pleased each time!

Great 7-day walking holiday following the Westmorland Way including the beautiful scenery of the Lake District. Well-organised by tour operator with a mix of nice B&Bs, pubs and hotels.

This was the fourth time I've travelled with Mickeldore Travel. They always arrange nice accommodation in good locations. They are easy to deal with and friendly. Mickledore Travel staff seem to put your enjoyment of your holiday at the top of their priorities. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I walked along the SWCP from Minehead to Appledore and truly enjoyed the experience. We spent 8 nights and walked 7 days along the Atlantic coast and the Bristol Channel coast. We saw beautiful beaches, bays, wooded areas, vast expanses of green fields, and of course sheeps along the way. We stayed at nice lodgings, some that were above our expectations, we were able to enjoy very nice meals in the small towns we walked through. A great vacation overall, even if our knees might disagree with this assessment.

Everything that Mickledore did was excellent: the booking of lodging, the luggage & taxi transfers (always on time), the detailed itinerary, the provided packet (maps, book, list of restaurants, etc). Everyone at Mickledore always responded quickly to our enquiries before our trip and during the trip. I have looked at many websites of agencies providing self-guided walking tours, and I have yet been able to find one agency that provides the quality and quantity of details that Mickledore provides. This was our 2nd trip with Mickledore and we are looking at the 3rd one..Mickledore is an excellent operator with top-notch services from everyone I contacted. We both highly recommend Mickledore when planning a self-guided walking tour.

My friends and I have walked with Mickledore on a previous occasion, on the Coast to Coast in England. Having enjoyed that so much, we then booked the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way in Scotland for our next walking adventure. It was everything we could have wished for, supported by the wonderful organisation and expertise that Mickledore offered.

Mickledore offer a wide range of walks in the UK to suit all abilities and tastes. The pre-departure support is fantastic, with excellent, prompt communication and the provision of a very comprehensive holiday package providing all the information you could possibly need, along with great guide books, maps and walking notes. The accomodation they select and book is always of a high standard with lovely hosts, and luggage transfer is seamless.

This was a longer walk than our intro to long distance walking along the Dalesway the year before. From the high moors to the northern river valley along the Settle to Carlisle way. We thoroughly enjoyed this walk of two halves. Good accommodation, food and weather certainly helped! We're now looking to book our third trip, trouble is, there's tooooo much choice!!! :)

This is our second walking holiday with mickledore and once again we received great service from start to finish. Contact varied from phone call, e-mail and face to face with mickledore, prompt replies each time. All went without a hitch.

I walked Cotswold Way From Chipping Camden to Bath in August 2023. I was solo, Mickeledore was able to book single en suite accommodation in every village along the way. They recommended booking evening meal in advance and provided informaiton how to do it. Luggage was deliverd promptlhy.

Operator was very responsve prior to the trip and there was always somebody available on the phone during the trip. I received good directions to follow the route.

We walked along Hadrian’s Wall this past summer. We chose to start in Carlisle and end in Corbridge rather than walk in the eastern marsh area and in Newcastle. The only thing they couldn’t arrange was the weather, which did not cooperate during this very rainy summer. We learned much about the Romans and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. The B & B’s were great. We had never done a “Walking Holiday” before.

We used Mickledore to plan the walking holiday. Mickledore did a GREAT job arranging B & B’s, giving us detailed maps and books, giving us lots of information about where we could find restaurants, food, cash, toilets, taxis, buses, emergency aid, etc. It made us feel very comfortable taking this adventure. We also appreciated the many choices for how far to walk and how many days we wanted.

Great walking holiday following the Northumberland Coast Path from Cresswell to Berwick Upon Tweed. It is a part of the country I am not familiar with but loved the wide open vistas, extensive beaches, castles and warm friendly people. We also had excellent local food.

Mickledore arranged everything. It all went well with an excellent range of accommodation.
