Dordogne with On Foot Traveller Reviews
Reviews of Dordogne with On Foot
despite the rain, a great time!
We did the 4/day/5 night Dordogne trek and despite the rain, had a wonderful time discovering villages we would have never knew existed! All the hotels and hotel owners were lovely and the meals were exquisite. The hiking was a tad wet (unusual weather for the time of year..) but beautiful regardless. I would highly recommend it and have done so already.

Rating for tour operator:Emily was extremely attentive with weather circumstances and recommended alternative options. And was willing to help us in the event that my husband's dropped raincoat was not found. But it was!
Great days of walking and eating.

Wonderful Dordogne
We had a lovely walk through the Dordogne region of France through OnFootHolidays. The walking had plenty of opportunities to stride out but also had some challenging areas. It turned out that April was a perfect time to walk as the temperatures were cool in the morning and the sun was warm in the afternoon. We saw incredible spring flowering trees, wildflowers, iris and wisteria.

Ideal combination
With 'On Foot' in the Dordogne. On Foot managed to combine impeccable organisation with friendly, personal contact. The accommodation had clearly been chosen with care, and with an eye not only to its appropriateness, but to the warmth of the welcome. The walking routes were well and clearly set out. First class.

Hiking the Dordogne
As senior hikers, we appreciated both our GPS and our poles. We took the 7 day option and found it to be more than manageable. We also took one ride 1/2 way with the luggage after the longest day, one that many people take, we’re told! A September hike gave us perfect weather, warm and sunny and the trail was very quiet.

Rating for tour operator:On Foot was very good to work with. The accommodations were wonderful and it was such a treat having most of our evening meals provided. We felt very comfortable having a local person "on call" if needed.
Fabulous Dordogne Hike
We had a great 6-day hike through the Dordogne River basin that we booked through On Foot Holidays. The hiking was beautiful, and we stayed in wonderful villages with great accommodations and excellent food. All the logistics went smoothly and route guidance documents were accurate and easy to follow.
