Magnificent Canada despite the fires.
Overall very enjoyable despite the forest fires in BC. Would recommend, however, that an Ocean View room is specified when booking Quality Resort Bayside in Parksville as rear views are mainly of a metal fence (or a container in our case). Views from restaurant across the Bay are beautiful.

Help from Discover Holidays (Diana He) was excellent, especially in finding alternative accommodation when smoke pollution in Clearwater was uncomfortably high (in fact Evacuation Alert was issued for the night we were due to stay). Also helped with Avis when we wished to return the car a day earlier to their Downtown office rather than the Airport.
Dear Mr Matthews, Thank you for your feedback and we are pleased that your holiday was enjoyable. Your comment regarding the Quality Inn Resort Bayside has been passed to our Reservation and Product teams for reference and future clients. The wildfires have been an exceptional event this year and we will forward your kind comments to Discover Holidays, our local partner in Western Canada. Thank you again for booking your holiday with Saville Travel and First Class Holidays and we hope we can be of service with your next trip. Kind regards, First Class Holidays.

Canada & Alaska
The itinerary was just what we'd asked for and this fantastic trip from Niagra/Toronto to Calgary/Banff, the Rocky Mountaineer and the Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver went smoothly. 2 couples traveled together. The only issues were at the Chelsea Hotel Toronto and the Sandman Hotel, Vancouver. Neither had rooms allocated or were aware of our specific request to be on a lower floor. The only issues were at the Chelsea Hotel Toronto and the Sandman Hotel, Vancouver. Neither had rooms allocated or were aware of our specific request to be on a lower floor. At the Sandman they were only expecting one couple and had to try and get the other booked in which thankfully they did. The Celebrity Infinity is a tired old ship but we had a nice cabin and made the best of it because of the locations and the entertainment on the ship was outstanding.
Rating for tour operator:

All of the local tour operators were excellent; the Toronto Bus Company provided a great day out at Niagra, faultless. We also booked a tour through Landsea based in Vancouver and Coastal Helecoptors based in Juneau who also provided a great service. The Rocky Mountaineer exceeded expectations.
Dear Mr Vincent, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your holiday and we are delighted that it met yours and your friends requirements. Your comments regarding the Chelsea Hotel Toronto and the Sandman Hotel in Vancouver are noted and have been forwarded to our Product team for review with our local suppliers. I hope that we may be of assistance with your future travel plans, together with Hays Travel. With best regards, First Class Holidays.

Perfect from start to finish
We enjoyed a trip to Canada organised through First Class holidays. We were able to mix and match the package to create a flexible holiday for us. Every single aspect of the logistics worked perfectly once we were in Canada. The quality of the experience was exceptional and we have already recommended FCH to other people. We cannot praise them enough. The only disappointment was Air Transat who cancelled the direct flight to Calgary from Manchester thus adding several hours to an already long journey. Making a charge for blankets on the overnight flight back is utterly outrageous. Having said that, the planes were light, clean and good leg room for economy.
Rating for tour operator:

Everything worked perfectly. A first class holiday from a first class provider. They earn their name.
Dear Mr Yates, Many thanks for your kind comments and we are delighted that you enjoyed your holiday to Canada. It is an amazing destination and one of our favourites. Your feedback regarding Air Transat is noted and we will passed to the Product team for review. We look forward to helping you any future travel arrangements that you may need via Dalescrest Travel. With best regards, First Class Holidays.

Superb Canadian Fall colours!
All hotels were very good indeed but the Lac Taureau Hotel in Quebec province was absolutely lovely. The hotel food was very good, if somewhat expensive but the room had an excellent kitchen and was great for home cooking. The rooms were spacious and everything we could have wished for. Great surroundings for walking and other outdoor activities. Quebec City was great; Montreal was great, Ottawa was great. My only complaint of the whole trip ...

The office in Quebec was buried right inside the Hilton Hotel with no advertising where it was. Overall a negligible complaint.

Holiday of a lifetime, a special treat for a special birthday - 1st Class!

Our adventure began in Calgary, picking up a rental car, driving to Banff, our first overnight stop then to lake Louise for the second stop and Jasper where we picked up the train. The organisation by 1st Class was exemplary with nothing left to chance - our final itinerary, vouchers and map package, all presented in an A4 ring binder, had been FedExed to our first hotel in Banff and were passed to us when checking in. That everything fell in to place so smoothly was the result of a lot of people working together in the background but still leaving us feeling like independant travellers - superb!

There are a number of people to be credited with the success of our holiday which began with our travel agent Baldwins Travel Group in Tonbridge, Kent whom we first approached at very short notice in August. They recommended 1st Class Holidays whom, it seems, work closely with Discover Holidays in Vancouver. We opted for their 'Rockies Rail & Drive' eight day tour as a base then working with them through Baldwins to customise it to include extra time in Vancouver as well as a trip to Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island visiting by ferry and taking a float plane trip back to Vancouver - another great experience that went seamlessly. A well oiled machine.....
Dear Mr & Mrs Purseglove

Everything we had hoped for and more. Our dream holiday became a reality, with the itinerary, the maps, hotel vouchers and admission vouchers all inclusive in one booklet. This took away any anxiety, of travelling.

1st Class were just that
We did a self guided tour Vancouver, Victoria and Whistler for week 1 and it was really easy. All vouchers were there in our little booklet, along with contact numbers for confirming transfers. No problems encountered and all the hotels were great. The float plane transfer between Victoria and Whistler was superb. Week 2 was `chilling out` in Vancouver. We would not hesitate to look at 1st Class again for a Canadian Adventure.

Very enjoyable, well-planned, efficiently organised tour.
We asked for a tour of Canada, mainly by rail, giving us a taste of the country. We hadn't visited the country before so left it completely to the tour operator to plan the experience for us and we thought they made an excellent job of that. We flew to Vancouver, stayed a few nights there then travelled to Whistler on the Rocky Mountaineer. Spent a few nights in Whistler then travelled to Jasper via Quesnel on the Rocky Mountaineer. We flew to Vancouver, stayed a few nights there then travelled to Whistler on the Rocky Mountaineer. Spent a few nights in Whistler then travelled to Jasper via Quesnel on the Rocky Mountaineer. Spent some time in Jasper then moved on to Winnipeg travelling on the Via Rail 'Canadian'. After a few nights in Winnipeg, travelled to Toronto on the Canadian. Couple of nights in Toronto then on to Montreal by Via Rail. Two nights in Montreal then back to Heathrow from there.

Both Co-Op Travel (Worcester) and 1st Class Holidays were very efficient and helpful. The overall organisation was excellent and the travel pack provided by 1st Class Holidays explained everything in sufficient detail. We did cover a lot of ground in the time we were on holiday but the planning and the advice provided meant that we weren't worried about any aspects of the trip. Hotels were good; everything ran smoothly and the tour operator had pre-warned us of the possibility of any delays that occurred during the tour (trains running late) so that didn't come as a surprise. We will report a couple of minor hiccups to the tour operator. They changed the hotel in Vancouver from the original hotel booked but didn't change the pickup point for transfer to the Rocky Mountaineer - easily put right by speaking to the local operator. Also they booked a tour to the Columbia Icefield but didn't include the Ice Explorer Tour which I think virtually everybody would like to take. Again, easily put right by the local tour operator. Those are not criticisms but hopefully useful feedback. Overall, a thoughtfully planned itinerary and we wouldn't hesitate to travel with 1st Class Holidays again.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. We're glad to hear you enjoyed your Canada holiday with us.
