Ciceroni is well deserving of its silver medal and goes on from strength to strength. Their choice of countries and programmes show this.

A cultured visit to Lucca's Renaissance villas and gardens

Well organised, and with a good choice of villas and gardens, some introduced by their owners. Hotel in Lucca was excellent as was the choice of restaurants. The tour leaders are very well informed. The group size (24) was just right to have good social interaction without being too large to get around easily. The use of listening devises worked well in churches and villas. Altogether it was a splendid, enjoyable and informative holiday.

We have been with Ciceroni on five occasions and they have proved to be very reliable. They are well organised and approachable if one has special requests. They are small operators but they really know the cultural tour business.

I was particularly impressed by Ciceroni’s attention to detail, I found the tour leader and the locally engaged guide both extremely knowledgeable about Romania’s political history, as well as being very sensitive to the economic and social challenges which lay ahead. The tour leader’s academic background was evident in his comprehensive explanation of both the interior and exterior of the painted churches and monasteries. I was particularly impressed by the excellent hand-outs which accompanied the tour.

Rating for tour operator:

The tour operator is Ciceroni. It is a small, family operated tour company which specializes in in depth cultural tours. I have been a participant on many of their tours and have found them all excellent.

Rating for tour operator:

Ciceroni is well experienced in art, music and cultural tours and covers all requirements in travelling abroad and at home. On the Renaissance in Lucca tour I was on, Tour Manager James Hill lives in Italy and the tour guide Tom Duncan is an art historian, what more can you wish for? Nothing was omitted and everything catered for. I wouldn't use anyone else for this type of holiday

First-rate US tour

A great tour to Philadelphia, which captured the best of its history, art, culture, architecture and gardens. Philadelphia may not be an obvious choice, but it's a very walkable city with plenty of options for the visitor.

From first enquiry to post-tour satisfaction follow-up, Ciceroni exhibit the very best that one might expect from a bespoke, top-quality tour operator. The Tour leader, James, ensured that everything went smoothly and he was both knowledgeable and efficient. All in all, this was a super tour from Ciceroni.
