Great location, friendly people

We have not been to Asturias before, would definitely recommend it, beach was perfect for young children with plenty of pools and streams to paddle in as well as the sand and waves, and the villa was within walking distance of both the beach and the small town with shops and cafes. The scenery is lovely, and there were various good places we found to eat in.

Peaceful Galicia

Lovely house in a wonderful and very convenient location. The house is extremely well equipped and is just moments away from the beach with some of the most beautiful beaches imaginable very close by. Beautiful views from the house. Local cafes and restaurants are simple but serving very fresh and delicious seafood.

Wonderful Trip

We rented a gite in the Picos De Europa and spent 10 days walking in fantastic mountains, valleys. Local food a bit variable but when lucky it was amazing and if not, it was still pretty good. Still amazingly cheap despite euro exchange rate.

Relaxing vacation in worderful natural surroundings, far from mass turism.

My youngest daughter (17) provided the main criteria for this summer vacation, with proximity to an excellent surfing beach as the top one. Louro Beach was even better in real life than on photographs and staying in San Francisco was perfect for this purpose.

Relaxing break

The only slight down side was the town of Ajo, Spain seemed to be mainly a weekend holiday destination for the Spanish and most bars and restaurants closed during the week.

Thanks Iain. Ajo is a biyt quiet during the week in the off-season. We do try to make that clear in our description and we're glad it doesn't seem to have spoiled your enjoyment of the area. Hope to hear from you again in the future

Absolutely excellent!!

Just completed a fabulous driving tour of northern Spain co-ordinated by Casas Cantabricas. A special thank you to Andy McCulloch who put together our itinerary and was very responsive to our requests for variances to the program. We really enjoyed our overnight stays in the Casas Rurales in the itinerary. They were generally family run and for us, much better than impersonal chain hotels. We will be in touch next year for our proposed trip ...

Superlative organisation and personal service

This was a 10 night holiday to Northern Spain in June 2016, taking in Asturias, Cantabria and Rioja. We stayed in 5 different posadas and travelled around the regions by hired car.

We wanted to book a special holiday for our recent 40th wedding anniversary and happened upon Caminos by Casas Cantabrias. What a lucky find! After a discussion about where we wanted to visit, route etc, we were quickly booked up for our holiday. We then received detailed itineries, maps, vouchers, regional guides to the area and general food and vocabulary guide, point to point directions, local weather forecasts etc. We were also given access to an excellent app, which Lin gave great instructions for downloading. The guides and maps were of excellent quality and extremely useful, as was the app. This is a company with the personal touch and even provided a telephone number for us to phone if we ran into difficulties at any time. I can't praise Casas Cantabrias enough - website, staff and service - and am certainly recommending them to all my friends. This is what a travel company should be like - and this is what made our holiday so special.
