For us the following things are important: - Flexibility to amend the standard trek so that we can add days for breaks, sight seeing, etc - Good quality accommodation on route. - Car Parking at the beginning or end of the route. - An efficient baggage delivery service. Absolute Escapes delivered on all of our requirements and were a very easy company to deal with. Other trekkers on the same route experienced problems with the quality of their accommodation; accommodation not well placed for evening meals or to make the days manageable. In summary, we are experienced trekkers with some 30 similar trips over 20 years, using several companies. The organisation on this trip was second to none.

To start with we liked the offering from Absolute Escapes when comparing companies and the likely locations they were using for accommodation. We were then very happy with the way we were able to customise the walking package to our requirements. Absolute Escapes absolutely delivered on the trek as we had hoped.

A self drive holiday to Orkney and Shetland, expertly put together by Absolute Escapes. Travel plans went smoothly, our Bed and Breakfast accommodation on both islands was to a very high standard, with lovely, friendly, and helpful hosts. The detailed information we received from Absolute Escapes beforehand detailing places to visit and restaurants to use allowed us to plan where to go and what to see. Advice to prebook restaurants was important as we saw people turned away from busy places.

Quick response to first contact. A detailed plan for what we wanted. Easy to contact by email or phone with very prompt reply. Important information e.g notification that our ferry had a problem with card payments, was relayed to us in plenty of time. Great company to deal with.

7 day hiking the WHW. Stunning scenery!! A challenging but extremely rewarding experience

I wanted to thank Absolute Escapes for arranging our WHW hiking experience. Everything went perfectly, and how amazing it was arrive after a long days adventure to arrive at the welcoming accommodations. We were so very fortunate with the weather!! And NO midgens. West Highland Way organized with a last minute request thanks to the match with a last minute cancellation. In one week I got my holiday plan and reservations finalized. The journey was really aligned with expactations, everything well explained. I just enjoyed the experience, no worries at all

The whole trip was very well organised by Erin at Absolute Escapes. Everything went very smoothly from start to finish and the detailed itinerary provided was very useful with lots of great advice and tips .

We had a wonderful time! All of the details were spot on and each inn/guest house was welcoming, comfortable and met/exceeded all of our expectations. We will definitely use your company again on our next hike in the UK. We only had one day of rain and the midges were almost non-existent. We appreciated the recommendations for dinner and were glad you recommended making reservations as each restaurant was very busy. One of the best meals of our entire month-long adventure was at the Old Pines in Spean Bridge. Each of our hosts was helpful and accommodating. One even took me to the local chemist when I had a minor medical issue. Thank you for your excellent service and responsiveness.

The guidance Absolute Escapes provided was spot on and very helpful in maklng our walk on the Great Glen Way an experience we will treasure for many years to come. We are already plannin our next one!

We spent 6 days walking from North Queensferry to St. Andrews along the Coastal Path. All arrangements made in advance by the tour operator with excellent accommodations and timely baggage transfers. Suggestions for sites to visit and places to eat were also top notch.

Absolute Escapes were very responsive to our requests including adapting their standard itinerary to our needs. They even assisted us in planning our post-holiday time in Edinburgh. This was our second holiday with them and we will certainly utilize their services in the future.

Everything went smoothly and we enjoyed every minute of our stay in Scotland. Hotels and B&b were perfect in all sense: location, accommodation, people. Everything was easy also with luggage. Besides, the suggestions and recommendations which were on our travel booklet were useful and informative. The Way is challenging but very well managed and the effort is paid off by the wonderful landscape.

All information is given precisely and in advance so one can really prepare his own holiday and enjoy a maximum. This year fortunately we did not need any further assistance during the stay. However, we know that Absolute Escapes can provide a great help when necessary

The organisation of our tour in the Outer Hebrides was absolutely perfect. Travelling from Barra to Lewis is the best way to discover the islands, especially because the landscapes as well as sights on Harris and Lewis are so dramatic. All the hotels were absolutely stunning in terms of location, accommodation, comfort and so on. The food that we tasted amazed us because it allowed us to eat what local producers could offer. All of our hosts were extremely friendly and gave us useful tips to visit their area. We thought that the whole trip was really hectic because were too excited to visit as many places as possible, which is really positive.
