A cultural revelation

This was a first visit to Iran, and in the course of 14 days we covered 2,000 kms and visited some fantastic places, from the ruins of Persepolis to Zoroastrian fire temples, the beautiful gardens of Shiraz and the spectacular mosques and palace of Isfahan. We picnicked at 9000 ft in the Zagros mountains. The people were fantastically friendly and welcoming, and our progress was often slowed by the requirement to pose for photographs. Now ...

Rating for tour operator:

Wild Frontiers provided excellent pre-tour help and information, gave advice on the procedure for obtaining visas, suggestions for what to take etc. Our tour leader and local guide were excellent, and the programme went very smoothly and efficiently.

An excellent introduction to Iran. I came away with a view of the country totally different from my expectations. Well done Wild Frontiers for putting together an interesting and varied itinerary which helped us really see the country and helped us meet so many people from what must be one of the friendliest nations on earth!

Wild Frontiers can always be relied upon to put together an interesting itinerary, including visiting less well known places, and usually with the opportunity meet and talk to local people.

Feeding the senses in Northern Ethiopia

This trip was a perfect combination of culture and history with adventure and a unique opportunity to get close to some of the people who make up Ethiopia's 80% rural farmers in a way that benefitted both sides but which made minimal adverse impact. This trip was a perfect combination of culture and history with adventure and a unique opportunity to get close to some of the people who make up Ethiopia's 80% rural farmers in a way that benefitted both sides but which made minimal adverse impact. Our tour leader created a very special trip for us which took us to a remote rock church for Good Friday mass, to a village wedding, to the house of a family in Lalibela for a traditional meal and to a community meat sharing event at Easter. Our small group of seven definitely felt away from the beaten track and saw only a handful of other European travellers on our journey. The trip transformed my view of Africa and although I have travelled a great deal this trip was one in a million. Thank you Wild Frontiers.

Rating for tour operator:

Wild Frontiers were efficient, imaginative and superbly organised as usual. In my experience their trips regularly exceed expectations. From the excellent pre-departure communications/instructions to the tour leader on the ground who worked so hard to meet our requests and to show all the things we asked to experience, every aspect of this trip was faultless.

One of the best group tour trips at any location

The Taj, Temples & Tigers tour Rajasthan - India, with wild frontiers. Could not have been any better, covered all the sites needed for a great experience. The support they provide to the local people by using Haveli's for accommodation was very evident. The pre-tour information provided was fully comprehensive, did not miss a thing. A very knowledgeable tour guide, for whom nothing was too difficult to help make the trip special.

Rating for tour operator:

Wild Frontiers from London. Very well organised, very helpful, covered all needs and requests in a very timely manner. Could not find fault with any of their services, from initial phone call to the finally planned holiday with additional extension to the actual designed tour. Their support staff in India were also very much on top of things to provide a special holiday experience.

Taj Temples and Tigers

We thoroughly enjoyed our Wild Frontiers tour of Rajasthan. Our guide was entertaining, efficient and helped us make the most of our time in Rajasthan. We would have struggled to see so much on our own or get the access we did to village life without our guide's local knowledge. Having not done a group tour before, we were mildly apprehensive about this aspect of the trip. In fact, sharing the experience with people of different ages and backgrounds ...

Fascinating; different from other Indian itineraries

Great food, fascinating and different. The relative scarcity of other tourists meant we were accepted much more readily by local people
