We (my wife and I) had an incredible experience during this trip. Everything was first rate. We spent two days in Kenya at Lake Nakuru and 10 days in Tanzania at Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater and surroundings, Olduvai Gorge, and the southern Serengeti. We saw everything that we hoped to see (captivating places, amazing plentiful wildlife and birds), stayed in wonderful lodges, gained insight into human evolution at the world-renowned Olduvai Gorge archeological site, learned an amazing amount of information about local culture, people, flora, and animal behavior, were very comfortable doing it, and most importantly, had lots of fun throughout. We are very grateful to Expert Africa, especially Maruska who helped us plan the trip, for making all of this possible. Each of the five lodges/camps in which we stayed were located in beautiful places, were incredibly comfortable, provided outstanding service, and had plentiful, excellent, healthy food (we never left a meal wanting for more). And the guides that accompanied us in every place were very personable, likable, and knowledgeable people from whom we learned much about the countries and local flora and fauna. Finally, the ancillary activities - a visit to a local Maasai village and a long walk from our lodge to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater - were interesting, informative, and fun, with the added benefit of providing exercise after long days of riding in safari vehicles.

This was our second trip organized by Expert Africa. The first was a short three-day outing in 2019 to Zanzibar planned as a side trip while we were in Kenya on a work trip. We chose Expert Africa to help us plan this longer two-week visit because we were so pleased with the quality of our trip to Zanzibar. Needless to say, we are even more impressed by Expert Africa after this trip. Everything was outstanding: the very helpful web site; the advice that we received from Maruska during our planning of the trip, including the pros and cons of selecting either Botswana or Tanzania as our destination; the materials that we received to help us plan the trip- alternative choices of places to visit and camps for lodging and detailed Expert Africa reviews of each of these lodges/camps, including a tally of the wildlife that previous guests had observed; very detailed and helpful annotated itineraries, information to help us navigate Covid-related health requirements; a helpful guide to travelling in Tanzania; and high quality vendors for all of the services provided. We particularly appreciated that Maruska provided alternatives for places to visit, things to do, and places to stay, always giving us the final choice. Maruska also was very easy to work with. We had numerous phone calls and email exchanges during the planning of the trip and she answered all of my questions thoroughly and promptly. We hope that we will make further trips to East Africa in the next few years. We will definitely ask Expert Africa to help us plan any future trip whenever we are ready to do so. We also would like to express our deep appreciation for the invaluable, outstanding assistance that Maruska Adye-Rowe provided to us during the planning of this trip. The choices that she provided for places to visit and stay and things to do, always giving us the final choice, and the vendors she selected made our incredible experience possible. We hope that we will make further trips to East Africa in the next few years. We will definitely ask Expert Africa to help us plan any future trip whenever we are ready to do so.

Just back from a weeks safari in Tanzania and 2 weeks R&R in Zanzibar. The safari was organised by Expert Africa and ticked all the boxes for my partner and me. The bespoke guide/driver was excellent and our accommodation throughout our holiday was first class. All in all great value for money.

Excellent from planning our trip with Expert Africa through to the reality which was beyond what we could have expected. Excellent lodges, gresat guiding and such game viewing as we could only have wished for in our wildest dreams. If you do one thing go to Mahale and going trekking with the Chimps !

We have now used Expert Africa twice for trips to Botswana/Namibia and Tanzania. On both occasions the advice and service in planning the trips has been excellent and the trips have then surpassed our expectations.

Expert Africa helped me to organise a bespoke holiday to Tanzania. As a frequent visitor to Africa I had specific requests and they managed to accommodate all of my preferences. I brought my parents (in their 60s) on their first trip to Africa. Trip took in the Crater and Serengeti, along with a few days in Zanzibar.

Expert Africa truly give expert advice, as their staff regularly visit the accommodation options in person. All hotel recommendations were spot on and the logistics were seamless. Their staff literally write the books (travel guides) of several African countries!

This was a 17-night trip in the Highlands, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti areas of Northern Tanzania staying at one hotel and three Asilia camps. We saw a fabulous amount of wildlife, many of them close encounters, with uniformly excellent and knowledgeable guides.

We have travelled with Expert Africa several times and things went smoothly on this trip as they have before.

Three of my friends asked if I would put together a safari for them since I had been to Tanzania a few times. I jumped at the chance and immediately called Expert Africa, as I knew that I couldn't do this alone. My overall goal was to give them a varied yet cohesive safari experience; combining a bush experience with a unique lodge experience, while getting a taste for the wonderful people and culture of Tanzania. After flying from the USA to Tanzania and getting in late at night we stayed at a lodge close to the airport where we flew out the next morning to the heart of the Serengeti. And so the journey began. 4 nights at Namari Plains Camp in the Serengeti, 2 nights at Gibb's Farm at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, 2 nights at Oliver's Camp in the Tarangeri and ending up in Arusha for the final 2 days. We not only visited the National Parks but had the chance to visit the Oldupai Gorge, and the Rift Valley Children's Village in Karatu. Then of course shopping at the Cultural Center and Massai Market in Arusha. James Denny with Expert Africa made the execution of this trip seamless and his recommendations for camp sites was spot on.

I feel like I hit the jackpot with Expert Africa. This enthusiastic team of world travelers has been so easy to work with. Whenever I call they are so willing to help and whenever I send an email their response is timely. This is my second trip using Expert Africa and I know that I am in good hands, which is important to me as a single female traveler. The recommendations that Expert Africa made for this trip were based on their knowledge of the camps, and their ability to synthesize the experience that I was trying to create. They listen, they suggest, they work with you and then they make it happen. I recommend their website to people who are interested in traveling to Africa but don't know where to start, as it can be overwhelming. Their website is filled with ideas, easy to use and their reviews are always recent. This is a company that I can confidently recommend to others.
