Our itinerary was 4 nights/5 days from Inverness to Orkney Mainland and back. In very challenging weather Wilderness Scotland and our guide Mark Cox were absolute professionals and delivered a fun, memorable experience.

I feel very fortunate that we did this tour with Wilderness Scotland. First, our guide, who has many years experience with this operator, was simply great. Second, Wilderness had to do a lot of work behind the scenes as weather impacted our itinerary and they did not let us down. Just a great experience all around.

Outstanding in every way, especially because of our capable and fun guide, Mark, and his ability to roll with the flow of weather-related changes. The walks, the accommodations, and the post-walk activities such as visiting sites of historical interest were delightful

I've just returned from my 2nd trip with Wilderness Scotland, The Orkney Islands. It was a fabulous trip with a perfect mix of walking, history and archeology. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge, and our accommodations and food in Orkney were wonderful. The trip was well organized, and our guide and the company went above and beyond when there was a problem with the ferry back to theScottish mainland. We were all impressed. Group sizes are capped at 8 participants, and that's a perfect group size for walking.
